I'm new to the forums, so I would just like to say Hi all.

I read about this 2 dozen system by Simon on rouletteforum.
This is the system: nolinks://nolinks.rouletteforum.net/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?m-1216567314/s-all/

This is basically the system:
QuoteDon't bet until you see a dozen repeating, when it stops repeating bet against that dozen.
Example:

1st Dozen - Don't bet
1st Dozen - Don't bet
1st Dozen - Don't bet
2nd Dozen - Repeating dozen has ended, we bet on 2nd dozen and 3rd dozen.
1st Dozen - Lost the bet, wait for the dozen to stop repeating.
1st dozen - Don't bet
3rd dozen - Dozen has stopped repeating, now bet 3x on 2nd dozen and 3rd dozen
1st dozen - lost bet, wait for it stop repeating.
2nd dozen - now bet 9x on 2nd and 3rd dozen
3rd dozen - WON, +3 profit.

If 0 appears, then dozen is same as previous numbers dozen.

Progression = 1, 3, 9, 27, 81 and so on

My bankroll is £600. If I play with £1, I normally use the progression 1-3-9-27 and after that I stop and take the loss which is £80. I must say, the 2 dozen system performs pretty well on live roulette and majority of the time, I win within the first 4 bets however every now and then there is a losing streak. With a losing streak, obviously the current progression is the bankroll killer so I am basically trying to find a way to tweak the system so that I don't have to take that loss or a way to recover from the loss. I honestly think, If we can find a way to counter the progression loss; this would be a really good system which makes money and consistently.

I have been reading a lot around the forums, so please don't think that I am lazy and didn't try any research of my own.

So far, the way to play that has appealed the most to me is using simon's method of 2 dozens + Lanky's 6 point divisor after the loss. Maybe playing through 1-3-9 and taking a loss of 26 and then recovering it. Or playing through 1-3-9-27 and take a loss of 80, split the loss into 20's, so 20 20 20 20 and then recover each of them and not all at once because bets will be too high. Although with this 2 dozen play when you get a loss streak it makes it harder to recover the loss with 6 point divisor, because when you lose the deficit decreases by 2x bet and when you win you only win 1x bet,  so I'm not sure what to do here

Bud - You may like to have a look at my recent post(s) on the CC Forum under the thread titled "PROGRESSION IDEA".

On there I'm explaining my method of playing the dbl dozens (or columns) where I retain the Triple up Marty plays but control the losses via no money down Virtual "V" bets. This stops a long string of losses. Also my bet progressions stop at L4 too. I activate the "V" bet after any L2 loss. This way only 1 win is needed to profit & return to L1 betting (As we all well know, just like all Martys).

Using your 80 quid loss part. With the "V" bet stopping @ L2 has you at -8. Then you "V" bet seeking a win. You may get 3 or 4 back to losses which would normally wipe out your in play BR ?  On a "V" win you then make a L3 money bet. A win allows you to reset to L1 as you've made your profit. A loss starts the "V" bet process over again. "V" bets can't deal with switch back results as in L1. Loss, L2. Loss, "V" bet win, L3. Loss, "V" bet win, L4 Loss & gone, unless you take your progression to L5 ? A lot of outlay for such a thin return.

I use a predetermined combination of 9 rotating & repeating sets of prepicks for the dozens. to maximise my randomness. I even have an option of zero insurance bets on the higher levels.

Every money bet or "V" bet takes up a bet line so with the prepicks always changing my randomness around 2/3 of the time matches the casinos randomness = win. In testing I've been getting around a 67% strike rate +/-.      I've hit L4 at times but, so far, have won every time.

I always play & test with live dealer results, either real casino or on line casino.

Just one thing on your +3 profit part I think the correct net profit should be +1. It doesn't matter what level you win at the net profit always equals the minimum bet placed on a single dozen = your LI progression.

Try this Bud.

Instead of 1,3,27,81,suicide use a Labby Progression.

Start your Lab with 1.

Bet 1 unit on 2 of 3 Dozens. On a loss your progression line looks like

1 1 1

Add first and last in the line and bet 2 units on the next set up. Another loss.

1 1 1 2 2

Add first and last in the line and bet 3 units on the next set up. Another loss.

1 1 1 2 2 3 3

Add first and last in the line and bet 4 units on the next set up. A win here.

1 1 2 2 3

Keep going until your wins cancel out your losses.

This type of progression will keep you in the game longer and with some luck
you will win much more than you lose as long as you stick with strict profit/loss stops.

Thanks for posting this method. It works very well. The only change I made was the
progression and after a dozen repeats twice I bet on it. I've made about 1,200 in two
days.

No problem.

Two bets:
1. Dozens are refereed to as 1, 2 or 3
2. EC is Odd and Even, follow the last.

17 Bet 1 unit odd, bet 1 unit on 1 and 3
(I bet 2 does not repeat and that odd will.)
27 win odd and doz bets, +2. Bet 1 unit odd, bet 1 unit on 1 and 2.
(I bet 3 does not repeat and that odd will.)
2 lose odd, win doz +2. Bet 2 units even, bet 1 unit on 2 and 3
(My EC lost start three step Marty.)
9 lose both bets. Start Labby progression on doz 1 1 1.
Bet 4 units on odd and 1 unit on 1.
(Here 1 repeats. I bet for repeat.)
19 win EC +3. Lab prog on dozens now 1 1 1 1
bet 1 unit on odd, 2 units on 2 and 3
9R win EC +4 , Lab prog on dozens now 1 1 1 1 2 2
Bet 1 unit odd, bet 1 unit on 1
(I have been betting against 1. It shows up again so I bet on a repeat)
11B win EC +5, win doz (2 units) new prog is 1 1 1 1 2
Bet 1 unit odd, 1 unit on 1
5R win both again, +6, new doz prog is 1 1 1 1
Bet 1 unit odd and 1 unit on 1
26B lose both +5 and 1 1 1 1 1
(here 3 shows, which is off 1 so bet 1 does not repeat)
Bet 2 units even and 2 units on 2 and 3
2B win EC +7 and 1 1 1 1 1 2 2
Bet 1 unit on even, 1 unit on 1
20B win EC +8 and 1 1 1 1 1 2 2 1
Bet 1 unit on even and 2 units on 2 and 3
8B win EC +9 and 1 1 1 1 1 2 2 1 2 2
Bet 1 unit on even and 1 unit on 1
14R win EC +10 and 1 1 1 1 1 2 2 1 2 2 1
Bet 1 unit on even and 2 units on 2 and 3
24B win both +11 and 1 1 1 1 2 2 1 2 2
(here my repeating doz has now changed from 1 to 2)
Bet 1 unit on even and 1 unit on 2
20B win both +12 and 1 1 1 1 2 2 1 2
Bet 1 unit on even and 1 unit on 2
13B lose EC +11 and win doz 1 1 1 1 2 2 1
Bet 1 unit on odd and 1 unit on 2
11B win EC +12 and 1 1 1 1 2 2 1 1
Bet 1 unit on odd and 2 units on 1 and 3
1R win both +13 and 1 1 1 2 2 1
Bet 1 unit odd and 2 units on 2 and 3
25R win both +14 and 1 1 2 2
Bet 1 unit odd and 3 units on 1 and 2
8B lose EC +13 and my doz prog is now at 1 2
Bet 1 unit even and 3 units on 2 and 3
15B lose EC +12 win doz
Bet 1 unit odd and 1 unit on 1 and 3
9R win both +13 on EC and +1 from doz, total +14
Bet 1 unit odd and 1 unit on 2 and 3
12 lose both +13, start doz prog 1 1 1
Bet even and 1 unit on 1 (new repeater)
33 lose both +12 and 1 1 1 1
Bet odd and 2 units on 2 and 3
12 lose both +12 and 1 1 1 1 2 2
Bet even and 1 unit on 1
32 win EC +13 and 1 1 1 1 2 2 1
Bet even and 2 units on 2 and 3
32 win both +14 and 1 1 1 2 2
Bet even and 1 unit on 3 (repeater has changed again)
Zero lose both +13 and 1 1 1 2 2 1
No bet after zero. Wait for 1 spin.
29 Bet odd and 2 units on 1 and 2 (bet 3 does not repeat)
9 win both +14 and 1 1 2 2

So, with these 30 spins I would be up 14 on the EC bet. It made it to the 3rd step
of it's progression once (1, 2, 4). I got lucky and hit it but if I didn't I would have
added it to the Dozen progression and would of had 1 1 1 1 2 2 3 (changing 7 into
2 2 3 to make the bets smaller).

The last spin finds me at a loss on the Dozens Bet. 1 1 2 2 is 6 units but I usually
end up cancelling out my losses before hitting my stop. I played many sessions and
only have been stopped out 3 times. I'm betting against a dozen repeating, when it
does I switch to beating on the repeater since there are often times a dozen repeats
4 or 5 times in a row.

If this was real I would have stopped at spin 22 when the dozen progression closed.
I would have made 14 units, or $140. I would play a totally different method for a
while.

I like odd/even but have also played this Dozen method with both O/E and R/B. But I
find R/B has more streaks over three in a row, which makes faster profits.

I also love the Three-Step Even Chance System created by another member but it's
hard to show the method like the above. When I play it I but the losses on the Dozen
progression like above, works great. vlsroulette.com/index.php?topic=20960.0

The Dozen bet and Labouchere Progression can be found at

One last thought...Notice spin 6 and 7 share the same sixline. When that happens bet
the other 5. Spin 14 and 15 same thing. Two easy units profit.

leroy - thanks for that & the links. Lots of detail there & it does take time to write it up & not make errors, well done.

I've read through it but tired now, as have been on this bloody computer for hours. Will have another look at it tomorrow after an o/nite sleep. It's near 6pm Sunday here in Sydney Oz, so near to chow time.

Cheers for now - ausguy.

repeats Leroy, repeats, whats your thoughts on repeats, ec and the mat. Seagull replied to what do we know, stick my neck out, repeats, i agree with seagull, repeats is where the money should be made. In the above looks complicated.

leroy

I love repeaters. What's complicated?

I think the best method, when betting outside, incorporate a strategy that follows
the last (repeaters) when that's the trend, and can switch to betting when the play
changes to alternating, all the while recovering losses as efficiently as possible.

My spin data example above tries to do just that. The betting style uses single dozen
bets, double dozen bets, and at least one EC bet, all dancing together trying to bring
chaos under control.

Every spin is independent from the last BUT we can predict an outcome and not be
100% right ALL the time and still profit consistently. The key is in predicting the right
outcome most of the time and a solid, low threshold progression with strict profit/loss
stops. Playing too long in either direction is not good.

Azymax

What about progression in using 2 dozens strategy:

If win then double bet but use constant
if lose bet minimum

For example

Bet 1$ - Win
Bet 9$ - Win
Bet 9$ - Win
Bet 9$ - Lose
Bet 1$ - Win

etc.
