Title: My view regarding testing....BR
Post by: Mr J on October 04, 2015, 02:01:24 PM
Been thinking about this for a long, long time. Some may disagree but I'm rock solid with my opinion on this. This view point is for ACTUAL casino play and flat betting only, inside numbers only!

I do all testing at home before heading to the casino. Okay.....when testing, once you hit MINUS *2* of what a gross hit would be, based on your starting BR, thats it, done.

Meaning, if/when this happens (at home), I will never play that particular method for real money.

EXAMPLE >> I plan on playing with $10 units. Regardless of how many numbers mind you. A hit would be $350 (so $700 total). So $700 should be your total BR you are willing to lose. Do NOT play with $10 units and only a $500 BR etc.

If your units are $5, $350 should be your BR, no more, no less. If your units are only $1, $70 should be your BR.

I'm quite sure of when to quit (losing) but winning, thats a different beast. Lets base it again on $10 units (-$700, done). My opinion, maybe 50%.... $1,050 done.

Keep in mind, my main point of this thread is more about when to quit when losing. On a related note, I see quite a few charts that get posted here but they are misleading (imo).

Meaning, lets say your chart has a HUGE drop, we'll say minus $900. Then pops up later for a net gain of $2,700. You might say......"thats an awesome method, I would of made $2,700 !!"

Not really, you would of tapped out at (or before) the $900 loss. When testing...*YOUR* *TESTING* *HAS* *TO* *BE* *AS* *REALISTIC* *AS* *ACTUAL* *PLAY* !!!!!

Some of you are just not getting that !!!

I'll give another example of proper testing...... I test at Celtic Casino (00 wheel).

The history board there holds the last 13 numbers. My casino here, holds the last 12 numbers. So when testing at CC, I tape a small piece of paper over that last number, on my monitor. If I'm using past numbers for my method, it would be *UNREALISTIC* to use 13 numbers. EVERYTHING HAS TO BE THE SAME !! (or as close as possible).
