Within the 37 numbers there are 60 splits (cheveaux).  I´ll concentrate on 18 groups: 1-4/2-5/3-6/7-10/8-11/9-12 etc.
I bet on a group when it has  come up with both numbers; and I bet only when balance dominates there.  I.e. if 33 has appeared once and 36 has appeared once this group is in balance  as long as it lasts.

After having won I see if any of the 18 groups is in balance now. If it is not the case, I´ll  end the session.  Deadline: 120 spins.

Some of us may be in balance from time to time; but numbers and small groups of numbers do not tend to be in balance for long. In the history of roulette noone has ever seen each number appearing exactly one time. The socalled law of the thirds should also be valid within 18 groups. As explained I bet on a selected split only when each of the numbers have appeared exactly one time/ two times/three times etc. Only as long as the group is in balance! And I stop if none of the 18 groups no longer is in balance. Deadline 120 spins. This method should not require as many chips as a system on individual numbers
With pen and paper at home I have started testing the method. Permanenzen from table 3, Spielbank Wiesbaden.
So far I have looked at the first 9 days of 2011 and went through 9 sessions. Each session began with the first spin of the day.
The results in chips (without tips): -30+15-18+15+27-3+17+28+48 = 99.
Again one may wonder if it is just beginner´s luck.

According to my homework we would have lost 224 chips after just 25 sessions.  Besides most sessions ended at my deadline (120 spins). So I try something different within the 18 groups: Now I only bet on a selected split as long as only one of its two numbers has turned up.  When both numbers have arrived, I leave the group.
And when  15 (fifteen) of the 18 groups are out, it is time to stop. Stop! Deadline: 120 spin.

What`s  YOUR  definition of  one session?

ONE SESSION in my first test series on split: From the first spin of the day until none of the 18 groups no longer was in balance as described. No more than 120 spins, however. One session a day.
In my next test series the definition of one session  was a little different: It ended just after 15 groups had been left. No more than 120 spins. I did not, however, have much luck: -377 chips after just five days.
