Title: Roulette Raid
Post by: TwoCatSam on June 23, 2008, 10:58:17 AM
OK, guys, here is an interesting oddity.

While inputting numbers, my A.D.D. flared up and I got completely lost.  I had had one winner at that time.  I started with spin 1 and did not get that winner on the second try.  So here's what I did.  I ran the same 100 numbers through the program and here's the result:

Try 1   Winners are spin #s      14 28 74 76  profit of 62 units
Try 2   Winners are spin #s      8 60 61 91    profit of 114 units
Try 3   Winners are spin #s      1 46 59 75 77 83 86  profit of 184 units.

Get ready for the TwoCat Question of the Day..(distant drumroll)....  Why does the program select different numbers each time they are run through??

Inquiring minds want to know.

Sam

Only thing I can think of is when there are many bet signals at once, each with the same Standard deviation or any other measure the software is playing with, you can let the Random() function choose one without having to carry the guilt as a programmer! Bad choice? Blame it to the Random() implementation ;)

Victor

Is the software saying this:  I could pick 3,34, 12, or 15 but I'm not sure which one I should pick, so I will let a random decision maker do it for me.

I will do a thousand spin test and post under testing.

Hi Sam!

Just spotted this other thread for RR!

I've heard that someone even had 2 versions of RR running at the same time on the same PC and STILL got different results! :-\

Apparently when questioned the ezesoft guys replied that they didnt recommend that you run 2 instances of the RR program as they can conflict with each other? Not sure if that true or not can these .exe programs conflict with each other?

That made me think it was just a RNG but like you have found its just toooooo lucky to be totally random?

Just wish we knew how it came up with its predictions!

I say it's a RNG itself.

Here's a little test.

Run the software for the same spins (5 or 10), for 36 times.
According to law of third, (if it exists), you should get only around 24 unique numbers at the last spin.

what use would it be if it gave the same number every time?

it works well why worry  :D

if its an rng then you should be able to get as many winners by imputting the numbers from a casino rng to a live wheel.

Definitely not an RNG! With Rouletteraid V4 solex I get an average hit rate of 1-31, when I use random picked numbers my hit rate is 1-94!

Who cares how they do it, just glad they do!
