Title: Some paranoid thoughts about "Roulette Sniper"..........
Post by: TwoCatSam on September 07, 2008, 06:50:09 AM
Hey......

I went to the website and downloaded their pdf. It is mostly one huge commercial for Golden Palace Casino.

Here's the deal: The software seems to honestly work! I've run several hundred spins and it comes out a winner every time. So what's the hook? There has to be one.

Me tiny paranoid brain thinks like this:

Suppose the Sniper is programmed to give very accurate predictions in the beginning. As long as you are betting dollars, it will win and win. You think you've got the casino by the ying-yang and you bet bigger. Sniper sees that you increased your bet and tosses you in the shark tank. So what if we don't every increase the bet on the Sniper board. Gizmotron once said that programs could monitor your every key stroke and thus it could know what you are betting even if you don't tell it.

Have I just flipped out?

QuoteGizmotron once said that programs could monitor your every key stroke and thus it could know what you are betting even if you don't tell it.

It is possible. To see what is the title of active window via the GetForegroundWindow (in windows).

QuoteThe GetForegroundWindow function returns the handle of the foreground window (the window with which the user is currently working).
nolinks://allapi.mentalis.org/apilist/GetForegroundWindow.shtml (nolinks://allapi.mentalis.org/apilist/GetForegroundWindow.shtml)

Then you could "hook" the mouse (globally) for "listening" every click and its X,Y coordenates.

nolinks://nolinks.google.com/search?q=hook+mouse+globally (nolinks://nolinks.google.com/search?q=hook+mouse+globally)

By doing this you can get a clear picture of what the user is doing if you make the routine like :

if <casino window on foreground>
then
<check coodenates of click>
<Map coordenates to roulette game numerical positions>

But, Sam. I wonder how much can the software know if you run the casino on your PC and the Sniper on a laptop ;)

hehehe, the Laptop was the most obvious one Sam.

Of course if no secondary PC is available you can try different ways to "Sandox" the rogue application.

If you are concerned it may leave you viruses or spyware, then use Sandboxie:

(Free for personal use)

If you are concerned of actual spying taking place right into your computer, you can sandox it by means of the following applications:

    * Joebox ( nolinks://nolinks.joebox.org/ (nolinks://nolinks.joebox.org/) )
    * CWSandbox ( nolinks://nolinks.cwsandbox.org/ (nolinks://nolinks.cwsandbox.org/) )
    * Anubis ( nolinks://analysis.seclab.tuwien.ac.at/index.php (nolinks://analysis.seclab.tuwien.ac.at/index.php) )

You can read full comparison here:

Of course Sam, your paranoia may or may not be justified but it is needed as we need to question what are we really allowing at our PC's, specially when dealing with the freaky software which may be in cahoots with Casinos. We know greed has no limits.

So, nothing like a good sandoxing and reading those logs to see what is the application actually accessing.

Kind regards.
Your friend,
Victor

I think your concerns have great merit. No telling what else is going on in R.Sniper. I bought it and fell flat on the RNG (back in May, before VLS). I grew to hate that type of Martingale.

Something else, the colors are appealing, it makes you want to play.

--Moreover, they just released a new program called Blackjack Sniper, which guides you through gameplay.

If it works for you then it works. I just made dozens, rows, and even money bets. (I never thought of trying inside bets.)

R.Sniper works in such a way that you really anticipate the number selection the program chooses (right or wrong)

You need stop loss and (wLwL) judgement for it to work (IMHO).
