Title: Automated roulette game in Sydney (Aust) metroplitan area
Post by: Guru933 on June 23, 2010, 01:04:25 PM
Hi All,

I am new to this forum and am glad there are resources and contributions from members to us roulette fans.

I've done a quick search and notice some of the members are from Sydney Australia, and so I thought I asked this question.  Starcity Casino in Sydney has phased out my favourite game, low-stake Rapid Roulette with a physical wheel and spinning croupier.  Instead, they put in fully automated electronic roulette (Vegas Star) by Star Games.  I can understand it is more cost effective to have the electronic gaming platform, but call me old fashion as I prefer a croupier spinning the ball.

So, instead of me driving a long way to Sydney CBD to sit and play in front of a machine, I would like to know which league or RSL clubs in Sydney have similar automated roulette game to offer.  A keyword search on Google does not yield anything useful. . .  I live in the north-western part of Sydney.

Much appreciate if fellow Sydney-siders can share their favourite venue.

Thank you.

P. S.  I'm not a big fan of the air-ball roulette either; not so much about the possibility of machine cheating, but the touch screen size of the model installed in the Starcity Casino is a bit small to my liking.

Guru,

I was at The Star (Star City) yesterday for the first time in years. I wanted to check out the new look.
You will be happy to know that Rapid Roulette is back. $10 min on outside bets even chances and $1 min on straight up numbers. So the same as before.
They have heaps of auto wheels and the vegas star video wheels as well.

As for the clubs with the auto wheels, very sadly they no longer have the one at Wests Ashfield Leagues Club anymore. That was actually the reason why I even joined that club. now they only have the vegas star video ones. So I wont be going back there anymore.
I still want to check out if Cabramatta (RSL or Leagues, cant remember) stll have their auto wheel. I haven't been back there in years.

Cheers
Rich
