Hey gang,
Just a quick question to introduce myself.  I'm a regular poker & craps player, but have found a new fondness in roulette.  I was wondering if anyone has any comments/suggestions on differential betting in roulette?  I've had good success using it in craps, but would like to know if it could be applied to roulette?  My best guess would be on a even money bet (r/b,hi/low,even/odd).

Cheers,
Matt

It seems to me that differential betting only works with craps. Craps SEEMS TO ME, to not have long the streaking tendancy that roulette has. The only time I have used it with roulette it failed!

Thanks for the reply Lohnro,
I was doing some testing last night and found the exact same thing you just mentioned.  The streaks are much longer in roulette (both good and bad), then in craps.

If you like EC on roulette why do not play baccarat ?
You can use the differential betting on Banker/Player but there is no "0" at all !

Smart opinion, Kacso (duro?). Baccarat is good one for negative diff. betting.
Matt, what diff. betting do you use on craps (pass/don't pass) - positive or negative one? Positive (game tends to escarts) = Win +1, Loss-1; Negative (game tends to balance) = Win -1, Loss +1 unit.
It seems to me that the negative one works better on roulette but not always.

Haven't made it to the craps table in a while, but when I was playing it was with negative diff. betting.  Also favoured the DP more than the P (personal prefrence).

The D comes more often in streaks. I saw a streak of 9 Don't on cold table, therefore even negat.diff. betting would lose for a while. It is the best solution for choppy tables, that's for sure.
