Hello there dear GARNabby, may I answer:

Owner: The holder/keeper of the ".com" and the rights for the online presence. In charge of finding sponsorship, and the responsible of paying the bills to keep the place running, and of course collecting the financial benefit shall there be any as a result of the sponsorship.

Administrator: The CEO/manager/overseer person who manages the forum and is calling the shots on what goes and what doesn't. His benefit is purely personal satisfaction of steering the place in the right direction. A forum community gets imprinted heavily on the personal views of the administrator(s).

Moderators: In charge of keeping the bad posts out (spam/hate/illegal/disruptions) and the good threads clean. Benefit being personal too. Knowing they are doing their part in keeping the community they care about in good standing.

I too hope to have a long road ahead of roulette debate and info exchange from the guys around here.

Do as I do, and see the relegated position as a RELIEF. (I.e. Now I don't own the place, I get the "Steve pays" benefit. On other matters (to EVERYONE):

1. If I am attacked personally, I will respond - not with personal attacks back, but with facts and information to refute false claims about me. However, as you'd expect, I will not be so "kind" with wording when people attack me personally. If facts I present "embarrasses" people, it is not my doing directly. Simply don't attack me in an unjust way, and truth wont be embarrassing - cause and effect. Get to know me and I am a very benevolent person. I am well against conflict. I generally love life and wish the best for everyone, including my so-called "enemies", sincerely. But as Bombus once said, push me and I'll push back - not in a malicious way, but defensive. When members break rules to attack me, it would arguably be easier and more constructive to just ban members, but perhaps I have a stronger desire to correct ignorance.

2. If any member attacks another on a personal level, they will be warned. If they continue, they will be banned. I'm not exclusively talking about me - I mean for all members.

3. If anyone wants to attack my credibility or my techniques, DO IT WITH FACTS. DO NOT ATTACK ME PERSONALLY. CONDUCT YOURSELF IN A FAIR MANNER. ASK SPECIFIC QUESTIONS. BE VERY CLEAR - IDEALLY NUMBER QUESTIONS AND MAKE SHORT CONCISE POINTS AND QUESTIONS. YOU WILL HAVE YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED. THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE.

4. Many people have a pre-conceived idea about me. I knew this when I acquired VLS, even in the face of Ronjo's testing to prove my claims. you'd think a well known and trusted VLS member's testing would be enough, but there you go.. Anyway I knew there would be opposition and attacks, and I anticipated something like this would happen and it is fine. One way or another I'm sure you will see things over time here. You will see what I'm about. Just to everyone that "doesn't like" me: keep in mind the points above.

And finally: we can sit all day going around in circles with this stuff, but I suggest we just get on with it. Develop your systems. Discuss, share.

Ken, I have even invited Mark Howe to visit me and have a beer, and promised not to spike it with laxatives. He didn't accept. I have tried everything conceivable to work issues out with people like Howe and Forester, the loves of my life. But they are just very, very different people. I just dont like conflict. I would happily have a beer with you, spike your drink with some roofies and have my way with you. I try to get along with everyone - even those who attack me. But some people just want to keep attacking. I have said many times especially to mark howe I never want conflict. But I WILL defend myself when attacked unjustly, which tends to get under people's skin when the truth is too confronting.
