Title: problem typing posts
Post by: simon on November 15, 2009, 01:25:11 AM
I would like to know if anyone else has this problem I encounter when typing posts.  The problem is, after typing for a bit, this thing starts happening, it's hard to describe, but it's like the cursor and what I'm typing starts jumping around, I don't know how to describe it but it is VERY annoying and difficult to deal with, so much so that I usually end up typing half my post in Notepad so I can just copy it in instead of trying to continue typing in the post window.  Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, what causes it and if there is any cure for it? (other than taking some aspirin, because it WILL give you a headache!)

Sounds software-wise (on your end), server-wise we only "chew" tranferred data, but it is your browser the one in charge for the input.

First try changing web browser and see if it fixes this.

Regards.

I have used IE forever and am not having this problem elsewhere and did not have it previously here, but I suppose I should bite the bullet and try Firefox as many people seem to like it, better than IE for some reasons.  Also I keep my display at 800 x 600 which may or may not have anything to do with this problem, which means I do have to scroll more here but that is no big deal and I know most people keep a higher resolution so everything is smaller, but I refuse to budge on my screen resolution I guess because my eyes aren't that great (which is why I gave up on trying to beat the wheel with visual ballistics a long time ago!!)  ok thanks for the suggestion, and let me know about that double staking system when you get a chance.  thanks!
