Do slow internet connections and/or computers affect spin results?

Hi there! I'm new here, aged 24, coming from Italy. I see there are many experts here who may solve the problems I have been experiencing for quite some time. I haven't found a specific gategory for this so please move it to a different subforum if necessary.

Basically, in the last few months and following the suggestion of a dear friend, I ended up wandering in the world of online gambling and more specifically in the world of roulettes. She knows many things about roulettes and shares whatever she learns with other people from my country who live in the same apartment in Ireland. All of them know exactly what they're doing and even though their life doesn't revolve around online casinos, they've made a lot of money.

We had many discussions about my experience as an online gambler, and judging from what happened to me (a few suspicious losses here and there) they're convinced there's something in my computer, internet connection or whatever, leading to system "minicrashes" (exact word they used) that make unlikely things happen. We performed many tests and it turns out I'm the only one getting odd results such as the same color coming out an amazing 14 times in a row.

My question is: how accurate is their theory? Are there any reports of slow computers and connections affecting online gambling in a way that results in significant losses for players? I tend to be very rational when it comes to these things so I don't believe in bad luck or anything like that. I know there's something wrong, it's just that I can't figure out what it is.

I'm sorry for the odd phrasing but as I specified at the very beginning of this post, I'm not a native English speaker.

Yes the casino's can manipulate your pc to make you loose - no bull.       They use time lag techniques , freeze , and other methods .    Welcome to online gambling...

Yeah, I know they can do stuff but I was actually refering to computer specs which may alter the results. Are there any examples around of different computers getting different results depending on a number of parameters?

Steve

Nothing on your computer influences the winning number. The winning number is determined completely on computers run by the online casino.

If they allowed the player's computer to choose the winning number, the results could be manipulated by players.
