Title: Help! How To Break Even?
Post by: birdhands on January 17, 2011, 06:14:03 PM
Does anyone have any idea how to bet say, 200 spins on an American wheel, and end up with the exact (or close to) same amount of money you started with?  To spice it up, I'm talking a minimum outside bet of 10 units, a minimum inside bet of 1 unit, and a table minimum of 10 units.

Thanks all,
Sam

Or even how to minimize the losses.  I'm not trying for a perpetual motion machine or anything.

Well so far my best idea is the most obvious one: 10 units on red, 10 on black, 1 split on 0/00.  Out of 200 spins I'll lose 190 units and earn 170, for a total loss of 20 units.  I was hoping some brainiac would come up with a breakthrough idea but I guess there just isn't one.  Thanks anyway.

There is no way you can always get what you have put on stake since the return is 35 to 1 and not 37 to 1

I just realized this is totally wrong.  I forgot to subtract the r'b bet from the zeros.  I would actually lose 190 and earn only 70, for a total loss of 120 units.  Ouch.

In spite what you wrote ,you are looking for the HG.I never play on a double zero roulette. The benefit of 5,4% I cannot beat with my strategy. On a European wheel with one zero I am very satisfied with a profit of 2%.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough.  I know I would have the holy grail if I could really break even; I'm just trying to figure out how to minimize my losses so I can keep betting on my live wheel without getting involuntarily logged off.  For example, I just figured out that I lose less if I don't cover the zeros.  That was a surprise.  I sure am glad I've got this monologue going so I can figure this stuff out.
