Hello everyone.

We have all heard the phrase "if roulette wasn't beatable then they wouldn't have counter measures"

Exactly what counter measures have been used against you personally or that you have actually witnessed at a land based casino while playing roulette?

Hi M.Carlo,

Well of all names you must know then....... :o What about the money limit?  :P

Hi Carlitos,

Most land casinos will give you a spread between high and low bets that only allow for a 2:1 progression of 3-5 times from lowest bet.

Ie: min outside bet 5 max 100 = 4 progressions

This spread is narrow enough to guarentee the casino the occasional catasrophic loss for the punter.

At at win/loss ratio of 31:1 for a basic marty in the above example, I can't see how you would profit in the long term sufficiently to cause the casino alarm, after all you only win 5 on a series and if you are waiting for entry points then the time between minimal wins is  greater.

But lets say you could start playing 100 flat bets and win above the statistical average.

Have you ever seen someone have their bet limit reduced in such a case?

I once saw a woman win $35,000 in a casino in Tunica Mississippi.

While the bosses did not hassle her directly, did not even talk to her, they stood around the table, looking right, then left and talking on hand-held devices.  I'm sure this was to scare her.

She was a beautiful woman dating a very rich man who gave her $5,000 or so to "burn" at the table.  Or so the story went........

You are right about table limits, this is why the "progression in risk" enters in place. If you believe in the math of the game, then it is the same to miss a cycle in:

- 2 spins using red/black or any other even chance.
- 3 spins using dozens.
- 6 spins using double-streets.
- 9 spins using corners.
- 12 spins using a street.
- 18 spins using a split.
- 36 spins using a straigh-up number.

Then you can size your bet properly to emulate the odds you want, gracefully decreasing the amount of numbers covered.

This is called "parachuting" and it is quite an art.

Regarding countermeasures, the only thing over here is to ban the entrance. Here if you are tagged as an "abuser"; they pay you, but then flag you for an entrace restriction to the local. I do not know if they share such data as here we are way behind in time from casino's countermeasures technologies.

Anyone in Vegas is better suited for this. Rob/EdessaKnight being the man to ask around here about countermeasures.

Best regards.
