Title: How you save your favorite posts in 1 to 2 secounds on your computer.
Post by: lucky_strike on December 20, 2009, 08:42:11 AM
There is one easy way to save all the post that you like, there is no need to copy by hand or print them out and waste expansive colors from your printer.

1 to 2 secounds you can save the post you like and get an folder in your computer where you can open and read your post offline at any time you want.

This is an very cool and easy solution.

The issue I have is to find an simpel sofware for this that is free, there is many, but I don't know wish one to pick.
Do you have an suggestion?

Should also mention that i know that internet explore has this function, where you can click on the option save as.
But the issue is it does not work here and with some other forums, as they settings prevent you from doing so.

That is the reason you need this kind of sofware that do the job for you.
If you find an easy solution for this, then plz feel free to post wish one you use and where to find it.

Take care LS

Edit, select all, copy; open your email, create mail (to yourself), paste, send.

Ten years ago XML was brought to the forefront of internet programmers and database administrates. I looked at an abstract for it and dreamed up a different use for it. After years of development I came up with a working form of the idea. I created a storage tool that works as a place on your computer to pile on more and more information in the form of new pages saved. At it's heart was a human readable information gathering system. I saw XML as Meaningful Text Markup Language. It uses common phrases to navigate to all instances of the key words requested. It becomes a relational text gathering system. Even more importantly it became an internet browser that could share these files as multi paged, with some HTML capacity to display formated text and images, and it allowed the internet to download and append to similar topic. It uses a concept that common phrases can benefit multiple files being combined by many contributers. It also has its own file creation process. I developed it and placed it on the internet for free.

So with that you take you favorite posts and copy them to the clipboard. You then open your personal archive file for that topic and import from clipboard as rich text or as plain text. You can check it out here:

I never validated the concept.

May not be so pretty, but our forum does have a "Print" view which allows you to have everything from a thread in one single page, at he lower-right corner of a post page there is:
