Hi all, so after three days sat trying to learn how to code RX I am at wits end!!

Does anyone know if turbos "possible holy grail" script has been posted anywhere..  I really just need to see the script and then think i would be able to play about with the parts i need.

I guess someone has coded it as charts were posted on his site.

if anyone could point in right direction it would be appreciated...

anyone know what happened to turbo anyway?

cheers

failing that are there any coders who would be able to give me a few pointers?

im not asking for a specific system to be coded for me or anything handed on a plate, im trying to learn...

cheers

In my opinion, if you are going to put in the time to learn to code, forget rx, its too limited when you really want to code a complictaed system/method, you should look at some real coding languages, you will have much more flexability later, I gave up on rx for that reason, it may be able to do it all but the way it does it is difficult to follow.

Just my opinion, have you looked at Vics tutorials? I believe VB is a better option, I don't use it, but for beginners maybe its ok, also pure basic may be much easier to understand.

Hi Superman,
Thanks for the reply.
Idid take a look at vics tutorials and this whole coding thing is pretty alien to me,
the only reason i was looking at RX was i have used it for a long time and am familiar with its setups etc.

I saw a video posted by RJEATON1 that used a bot derived from RX and ultimately thats the end result i am looking for.

Cant find any info other info on it tho and the site he links to has been taken down.

Dear Shaneicus, you don't start coding "from the roof" ;)

You aim at the stars, but start from the floor

First learn the foundations of programming. Create simple programs. Get the hang of it.

Text-mode programs are the classical way to learn.

It is important to achieve little tasks, since they motivate and help you to keep on going, feeling successful.

Then coordinate little tasks to create a more complicated product, and there you go.

Right now I can't give you a "what's the best programming language to learn" recommendation. I'm starting tutorials with FreeBASIC, not because it's the best, just because of the FBide bundle on which you simply code and press run. As a bonus it's an ~8MB download, so it's not bloated either.

The series is hosted at:
nolinks://roulettesoftware.cc/discussion/15/freebasic-roulette-oriented-programming

With a separate Questions & Answers thread:
nolinks://roulettesoftware.cc/discussion/16/freebasic-questions-answers

It is open for your participation.

Of course, if FreeBASIC is not your cup of tea and you'd like to go Pascal, C-like or any other fashion, then by all means visit those... yet I'm pretty certain you'll find out the foundations are the same for most programming languages (variables, constants, functions, procedures, branching, loops, etc.), just use one that adjust to you and have fun learning!
