There is a train from Trieste/Italy/only 60 km.from city of Opatija,where I live/directly to Nice,
shorter journey...sleep wagon...for future trips.

It's about 600 km from Opatija/by bus to Trieste/then Venice,and from there sleep wagon to Nice.
About 7-8 h journey with some waiting in Venice.
