Title: Reducing losses on a columns/dozens system
Post by: shoust on April 23, 2008, 07:48:35 AM
The idea of this post is to reduce the expected loss when betting on 2 columns or dozens at the same time. Plus minimize making use of a progression at any time.

So say you bet 2 units on each dozen, but leave nothing on the dozen you leave out, your expected profit is 2, but the loss is 4.

However this strategy might reduce the potential losses a bit.

Instead of betting nothing on the dozen you don't play, put 1 and a half units on it, your expected loss would be a unit and the profit would be half a unit.

If you happen to lose on the first stage, instead of progressing, regress the 1.5 units to 1 units, the expected profit would be 1 unit(winning back the losses for that round), but the loss would be 2 units, and 3 units loss total. The general idea is you'd be bound to hit the 2 dozens more often if a streak happens.

Of course, if zero shows its nose, you'll lose all units bet :(

What do you think?

put half a unit on the two is same thing isnt it you lose one unit if the dozen you not put any on shows but only lose 1 unit if zero shows as you will lose 5 .5 units if zero shows in you example shoust
