Lets talk about Dozens betting.

I was playing with a strategy that you bet on one dozen at a time, the progression was adding only an extra $5 each hand after a loss.  I would start with $25, if it was a miss I would place $30, if its a miss I would place $35; if there is still no luck then I would call it quits for that round and try again later.

What I'm trying to figure out and get some input on is; does anyone have a strategy for picking the dozen to play.  I was waiting for 5 misses on a dozen then try that out, I ended up burning more the prevailing.

Any thoughts ?

[smiley=welcome/welcome.gif] Barr, good to see you here.

There are many fine dozen players around such an Lionel/Lanky and other. Sure they are able to help. If they are time-constrained, I can add some selections once I get a bit more free.

Victor

I am Not suggesting that My way is the only way to play....there is a lot of other different ways that You will see over there.

My way is really a version of the way the Master Victor taught Us All to play the Lw Method on the Dozens.

Its what Suits Me (and others) but may not suit You.

I wait until a dozen hasn't hit for 8 to 10 spins (columns 9 - 11) before betting on it with a mild progression.

I also bet on the previous dozen hit when there hasn't been a repeat dozen in the last 4 - 5 spins.

If you like "hot" numbers you could try last 12 hit or last 6 as splits.

Thanks Victor, Lanky and hoper35.

I'm just starting to read your link Lanky, I have to go through it again; I'm not sure I'm getting the total concept.  I will update.

HI  nice ask  about dozens im like play on dozen  both on live table and RNG as well there  is aditionl ocasions when to put money on  dozens basicly your count 7-10 lines  orr dozens im  using long time it  is quiet profitable ont top  im  using this is helpfull to me  hxxp: random.  org/integers/       In Dominant Dozens, you are looking for winning streaks on the Dozens bet, and you insure yourself (to a certain degree) by betting on two out of the three columns.

Here is the theory:

First of all sit it out for 5 to 10 spins to see if which 2 dozens have come up the most often.  Once you have chosen your 2, you set yourself a betting unit.  This can be anything within the table limits, but make sure you have got room for manouevre, as you will be applying a progression onto the bet, so don´t go too close to the table maximum.

Lets say we kick off with a £5 bet for example.

Bet £5 on each column and wait for the wheel spin and the ball to drop into a pocket.

You are going to apply a D´Alembert Progression onto the dozen that wins first , that is to say, if your bet wins you are going to nudge it up a unit, and if it loses you are going to nudge it down a unit.

Don´t go below your starting betting unit.  The aim to to maximise the profit on any winning sequence while giving yourself some insurance on losses.  (Remember the third column could keep coming up though, and you are not covered on this example).

Does this actually work? Well, like all systems, it is not going to improve your overall odds, but by all means use it to put some method into your play.  Set yourself a profit target and stop loss target before you start.

These kind of systems do reduce your risk somewhat as you are covering a greater area of the table.  But the payout is also going to be lower, so it can be difficult to get any momentum going on a system like this.  If you win, you will also have to cover the loss on the other dozen bet (but then again the winning bet does payout at 2:1).

However,  you might land a result on the dozen you haven´t covered.  The idea is to hit a winning streak on your "Hot" D´Alembert dozen so that there is clear water between your winning stake and your insurance stake.

Switch your hot dozen around when you feel that you have exhausted the winning streak.

I played another dozens strategy,

I would wait for a dozen to repeat, then bet on the other two.  If I lost I would double my bet on each number and play it again.  I ended up winning $300, starting with a bank role of $90; $15 dollar min.  I worked pretty good for me, I usually would watch a dealer's first 6 spins to get a feel of how their spinning.

If you've got the time, check this out.  Track 24 spins, bet w/progression on the least hit dozen. (You can separate the tracking into 12 spin segments so for each 12 new spins bet on the least hit in the last 24.)  Not guaranteed, but it's here if you want it.

I ended up going last night; I played the two dozens pick, I waited for a dozen to hit twice then laid down on the other two. . . didnt it happen right away but 2 more of the same winning dozen.  Making my two x progression a loss.  It was an early night, I set a certain amount of money to play, if its gone Im done.

I was at the Great Blue Heron Sunday night.  Made my target in an hour and left.  Played single dozens.  It's nice to be able to leave when you want, as opposed to the bus trip to Fallsview or Casinorama.

My dozen strategy is pretty simple and the most basic:
1) Spin until a dozen doesn't hit in 5 consecutive spins.
2) Start betting in that dozen until it wins.

Depending on the bankroll I would wager up to $1.   Some days ago I started with a bankroll of $50 and started betting in $0. 20 and got to $75 in 40 minutes with no problems :)

The betting progression would go like this:
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 13, 20, 30, 45, 67. . . and VERY RARE, but it has unfortunately happened, I would even bet 101 or 151.

It is my favorite system, as it is really simple to play.
