I agree.  Law of the third tells you what happens with a certain margin of mistake, but not when, that's what makes the system fail usually.
But it can be helpful to play under particular conditions.
As to say, you can't walk on water, but if you wait for particular conditions (i. e.  temperature falling down) you might be able to do that as you'll be walking on ice.
Just to be clear, I'm still looking for the right temperature to come, still too hot here. . .
