Consider this:

100 spins....

You have 60 red  40 black.  A twenty-spin difference.  60/40=66.6666%  Black is 66.6666% of red.  60x66.6666%=39.999996.  There is a difference between red and black of 66.6666%  Red is 66.6666% greater than black.  (Am I right so far?)

Now consider this:

1,000,000 spins....

You have 500,010 red and 499,990 black.  We still have a twenty-spin difference.  But do the math:  500,010/499,990=.99996.  Red and black are less than one percent apart yet they are still twenty spins apart.

Many people operate under the assumption that the more spins you have, the closer to equality you get.  This may or may not be true, as the above example proves.

Disclaimer:  I did not figure this out.  I read it in a book on craps, of all things, and am recalling it from memory as I can't find the book.  Not going to look for a week to prove my point.

While running the robot for Super-Roulette, I learned this fact all too well.  Black and red we're supposed to--at some point--equalize and you made a profit.  It was not unusual for red or black to outstrip his opponent by a couple of thousand spins over a ten-thousand-spin trot.  Ten thousand pennies is $100.00  In one night I lost $340.00.  That's how far out red and black varied.

Take it or leave it......

hi twocatsam,

i think its (500,010-499990)/1000000 is less thank (60-40)/100. simple math.

Well dear 2cs bet this instead... last 3 lines versus furthest 3 lines
you will find a different story here. This is most equalized bet that
exists in the game of roulette.Check it up and prove me wrong.
Many didn't know this but now you do.Good luck.

I'd love to investigate, but I have no idea what this "last 3 lines versus furthest 3 lines" means.  To me a "line" is the same as a double-street: 123 456.

I do understand the last three lines to come and the furtherest-back three lines, but how do you "vs" them?

The RATIO of reds to blacks approaches 1 as you get more spins, but the DIFFERENCE between the no. of reds and the no. of blacks  actually increases, which is just what you observed, Sam. God knows how much money has been lost over the years due to gamblers not realizing this.  :o

LINE 5
........1
........4
........6
........2
........3......3,2,6 LAST SPOON 3 LINES.......4,1,5 FURTHEST

How to bet????

Same as red and blacks, but the difference is there is not as many strikes
of the same as in red/black.And if you investigate you will find in any Wiesb.
session there is not any real imbalance in this bet.

Thank you kindly.  I understand and I will certainly investigate!

Btw. 2cs,

On more then 100 Wiesb.sessions tested,last/recents/3 lines
have a slight edge,about 0,25 % over furthest ones.Ideal to play 1 up
on the lose,1 down on the win...that's how I do it.
