Title: Wise to invest in a random number generator
Post by: Proofreaders2000 on July 23, 2008, 05:54:46 PM
I bought roulette pro, which has a rng in it's 'high-risk' mode.  It has hit the exact number say 1 on 50 spins or so.
Not a real strategy, but it may inspire ideas.

I bought RouletteRaid, which is another RNG like RoulettePro.

Well, people learn from mistakes.

I have found Roulette Raid to be pretty effective.

What you want and what would be bomb proof would be a RNG that has the random seed reset on each spin calculation. Modern computer languages have learned to use the milliseconds past since 1970. If you add to that the random selection of another number from 10,000,000 and then apply that random number as the new random seed then you have effectively multiplied one random number against another. Current technology is that a repeat of the random stream becomes predictable after 500,000 spins. By adding the adjusted random seed on each spin you extend that to millions and end up with a truly RNG.

So somebody other than me needs to build it and make it available. I could build it in ten minutes and it would take several hours to package it for Mac OSX and all Windows. I don't want to package it. So there's the thinking for bomb proof RNG.
