Which reminds me: Time to meditate!

I'd make it a deep sleep, for all our sakes.

I remember this from Life of Brian:
"We are all different".
"NOT ME".
It is always interesting when someone tries
to speak for ALL   :diablo:

One way to deal with this  Indian Priyanka pretence might be humour.
A scientific validated  technique brings the the body of the meditator DEEPER
than any sleep. Very fast! At the same time he or she is more awake than you might imagine.
"A proposed fouth major state of conscoiusness" ("Restfull alertness").
To non-meditators Westerners this might sound as absurd as Zero & India.

Wikipedia (0, number): "The oldest known text to use a decimal place-value system, including a ZERO,
is the Jain text from India intitled the Lokavibhaga, dated 458 AD, where Shunya ("void of empty")
was emplyed for this purpose".
Stunia ("void or empty") was employed for this purpose"

I post a small, little, throw away comment, designed to point out that your reply#14 stated nothing. Then, you go & do it again in reply#16, priceless !!!!!

It is true, there are techniques for this, but for the mainstrean, they can take a very long time to develop.

My own preference is for the 'three finger clasp'.

Once mastered, it is a magnificent tool!

It's like, three fingers, put 'em there and BINGO! your in the zone.... awesome!

At least you, unlike certain trolls,
seem to have developed a healthy sense of humour

"I´m taking my time for a number of things
that weren´t important Yesterday
And I still go"
                          (The Beatles)
I have been playing piano almost all my life.
Lately someone stole my piano. Rather traumatic!
After that I didn´t know what to do with my fingers.
Now I know!  :yahoo: Thanks!

I wasn't joking Dane.

The three finger clasp is an ancient, well documented technique for rapidly putting the disciple into an advanced meditative state within an instant.

It takes many years to develop and is essentially a cellular level recall mechanism used to eliminate the chronological sequence necessary for novices in reaching advanced meditative states.

There's nothing wrong with meditating for hours to reach a desired level of consciousness, but the ability to reach the same state of mind in an instant is sublime.

I am sorry. Not joking. I see.
As you might have guessed, I have been meditating almost as long as David Lynch.
Several hundred scientific studies have confirmed the beneficial effects of our technique.
I don´t know how much research has been made with your favorite finger method.

I  do admit that meditation requires much more. Much Money too!!
Nowadays it is rather expensive to learn this meditation technique
That´s why I am not involved in the movement anymore

Must be better than killing others!
I once witnessed a pretty blonde dealer spinning the roulette wheel. And
I heard her tell another dealer that she planned to take her hands and arms
to an Insurance man because of this monotonous strain.

Piano players used to practice many hours a day. Today they might have found out that it was not healthy.

"I´m taking my time for a numbers of things that weren´t important Yesterday".
Yes, I just repeated this from FIXING A HOLE by the fab four.
Did you notice something strange?
WHY did I write Y?
With a big letter?
Well, The Beatles had earlier made us sing along: YES
                                                                              TERDAY.
In Fixing a Hole they might have had some fun in turning it upside down like this:

                                                                               TERDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
                                                                         YES

VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE
