A question regarding Star City, Sydney, Australia.

I can't remember which forum I read this on but someone said the casino in Sydney has an airball machine where you are allowed to use your PDA, Notebook etc... Can anyone confirm or deny this.
I visit Sydney every year and I am due for another trip shortly after christmas. If this is correct, then I will get some software designed for a system I have in mind. There is no way in a million years that I could play it without some kind of help from a programme.  Thank you.

(edit) The system I have in mind entails betting 21-24 numbers using a positive progression looking for 4-5 consecutive wins. Explaining that part is easy. The bet selection is not so easy.

Use of electronic devices is illegal in all australian states, even just to record spins. Absolutely 100% sure about it.

I MOST likely made that post!

I use a PDA on Airball machines in Sydney, including at Star City.

In the state of New South Wales an Airball machine is described by law as being a 'poker machine' (slot)
and it is permitted to use an electronic device in conjunction with being at the poker machine,
whereas with a 'table game' being one that is controlled by a croupier, including Rapid Roulette you can't use a PDA!

I just read Steve's comment & while I certainly bow to his VASTLY superior knowledge on betting in Australia,
I did have a one on one meeting with the Poker machine manager a few years ago to make sure I didn't risk being barred as I have been warned for using it at the Baccarat tables,
and I was assured it was legal as well as NOT against Star City rules.

Thanks Glenn, at least I know I am not going senile. I was sure I read it somewhere. Some of these notebooks are really tiny now and would fit just nicely in front of me at one of these tables. 
I can imagine it would create a lot of suspicion for all kinds of reasons. I only spend a few weeks there at a time and it would be no real big deal if they threw me out. I could always claim ignorance at the very least.

I've been 'warned' 3 times for using the PDA at the Bac tables & each time I've got away with it,
(helps that I look so dumb), there's never been any suggestion of being banned.

The amount of times I haven't been seen is a 100 times more!

I normally split my holiday between a week in sydney and visit some relatives up in port macquarie for a few weeks.

A brilliant place for relaxing and taking it easy. I could sit on some of them beaches for hours.
I went into the panthers club and it was like wall to wall slots 
Here on the airball machines the minimum bet is 10 pence on a number and a pound on outside bets. It's good for progression players because you can get a good spread. I will need to check out their website and have a look at the games on offer. When I was in Jupiters a few years ago, I enjoyed a game of sic bo. We don't have that over here. They have just brought out a mini version of craps which is easier to understand but not really the same thing. I won't bother playing it. Roulette is my favourite game. It offers all kinds of possibilities unlike a lot of the other table games.
