In my humble opinion it isn't as much a matter of trying to overcome the largest patch without hits as much as it is to NOT be betting such patch for bet selection, and when having in present at our personal betting registry, then flat-betting the min.

This approach is better than trying to overcome it with progression "a la Martingale".

Neither you will have low hit rate forever, nor will the casino have a higher-than-expected rate for unlimited time. The name of the game is stretching your bankroll, so you can have units for the when the tide turns your way.
