Title: Back to VLS Dozen and Column Jumps
Post by: moch on October 11, 2008, 04:28:06 PM
Hi,

I don't know if this betting scheme has been posted before. If so I apologize.

I like Victor's implementation of dozen and column jumps. Very good coverage and good hit rate.
However on a loss, takes a while to recover, and if I a use progression to recover at once,
it will rocket sky high as we all know.

I'll try to explain a little tweak that will reduce the amount at risk, the best I can. It's simple.
I hope I manage to put the images  :(

Just a remark. I have tested this approach on RX for 3000 spins and it never dipped too much.
I also played it live on my local casino for quite sometime, and so far haven't lost a single day. Lost some sessions but it always comes out a winner in the end.
We all know it will fail as all systems do, but looks pretty stable.

Image 3.jpg - I want to win $10, and will use a $5 unit,

We can see that 16 numbers are covered twice by the dozen+column bets.
Another 16 numbers are covered either by a dozens or a columns bet.
However these last 16 numbers will not produce a profit, instead they produce a 1 unit loss (-$5 in this case)

Total units on the table 4x$5 = $20.
I will win $10 if I hit one column and 1 dozen together.
Will lose $5 if miss 1 column or 1 dozen
Lose $20 I miss both.
To recover right away I need to increase my bet to $40 and so on

Image 1.jpg - 16 numbers are covered. Exactly the same number of numbers that produce a profit in the first approach.
Playing with a $1 unit the total bet costs only 8 units.
If we hit right away, profit will be $10. Same as above.
If miss the 1st spin and hit the 2nd, there is still a profit of $2.
Miss the 2nd spin, loss is $16.

Moreover, if we look at image 2.jpg we see that our bet is now more flexible. Sometimes one dozen is hitting a lot with a particular column while the other hits together with another column.

The way to play:
I use Victor's Doz/Col jumps software to make my decisions in the tests.
When live, I make use of observation to decide what to do.

Progression: Up 1 unit as I lose. Down 1 unit on a win.

That's about it. If any doubts please feel free to ask.
Any comments and modifications are appreciated.

Cheers  ;)

Thanks for the post Moch, you're a clever fellow :)

Hey mate, just use [attachimg=#] where you want attached images to appear.

They will appear in the order you attached them.

Shall you need to use it in another order, use [attachimg=#1], [attachimg=#2], [attachimg=#3] where you need them; remember images take numbers according to the exact order you attach them....

Forum's text parser will insert them where the tag is used [smiley=azn.gif]

Thank you Victor  8)

All I try to do is to stay away from predefined bets. I think nothing new will advise from them.
May be after all there is something to be found betting inside predefined bets.

I am still testing this thing. Will now test flat betting.

Another defensive variant would be to sacrifice 2 units to cover 24 numbers. Needs testing.

Split hit = +8 units
Quad hit = -1
Miss = -10
