Money Management with Lw

I need some help with money management with Lw methodology.

I've read few times Lanky is bringing in a 4-point divisor and hunt L's after 2 losses.
I don't think I'm quite ready to hunt L's right now.

Is the 6 point divisor the only money management method used, or are there others?
When I lose 2 bets in a row, (1x1, 2x2), what is the best way to calculate next bet?

Cheers,

Hi Roulette787.

Mate there are Plenty of other ways to bet but I know of none that manages your money for you like the Divisor does.

The other Good way to bet is Victor's Left Most Cancellation Betting Plan.
But its best that Victor explains that to You Cobber
.

OK Let me give you an Example of what I do on the Divisor after you have lost 1x1 & 2x2
Lets also use the 6 point Divisor because thats not so aggressive as the 4 point Divisor is.

OK so you have lost two bets in a row betting 1x1 & 2x2 =6 lost units
Now what You can do is bring in a 6 point Divisor Plan which has its own win target of 7.
I will explain more on the win target & why its always at least 1 more then the Divisor in another post.

So now its 1x1 & 2x2 =6 +7=13...Divided by 6 like this 6/13= 3 to bet

OK so lets say you lost the next two bets as well.

L=6/13=3x3=19 Lost
L=6/19=4x4=27 Lost

Now because we have lost 2 bets on the other two dozens /Columns
We put the Divisor up one to 7
Which would now be like this 7/27=4x4 to bet
Now lets assume you have won two bets in a row it would look like this.

7/27=4x4=35 won less 12 back=23
Now because we have won a bet we bring the Divisor down one to 6
6/23=4x4=31 won less 12 back=19
We won again so we bring the Divisor down one again to 5

Now this time lets say the next 4 bets that we have do this LwLw..So we win Lose 2 & win 2 bets.

5/19=4x4=27 lost
5/27=6x6=39 won less 18 back=21( we won so divisor comes down 1 again to 4 )
4/21=6x6=33 lost
4/33=9x9=51 won less 27 back=24 ( we won so divisor comes down 1 again to 3)

So Now we have had LLLLwwLwLw= 6 losses & 4 wins

So lets say we have 4 W's in row from here that would make it 6 losses & 8 wins=57% wins
That should be pretty fair to everyone seeing we are playing an average of 66% selection Plan.

W=3/24=8x8=40 win less 24 back=16

OK so now say you are on the conservative side of things and you dont want your bets to skyrocket out of control if a losing run hits with the Divisor at 2.
So what we do is add another 6 divisor along with another win target of 7 to what we have left.
Like this
2/16
6/7
..........
8/23=4x4 to bet

W=8/23=3x3=29 won less 9 back=20
W=7/20=3x3=26 won less 9 back=17
W=6/17=3x3=23 won less 9 back=14

Now remember we added two divisors overall both with win targets of 7 each
7+7=14 thats the exact same figure we have left to get....
so we have won the 6 units lost back plus all the lost losing bets and are now even.

So you can restart again with your 1x1 & 2x2 betting again.

I will do another example using the exact wins & losses Tomorrow for you Mate.
Only this time I will use a 4 point Divisor but in a very aggressive manner.
That will give an entirely different result.

Good On Ya Mate

Thanks for taking time for that long & clear reply.

Looking forward for the next example.

Roulette787.

Hi Mate...I have had second thoughts on the aggressive 4 point Divisor.
I would be jumping over the Aggressive 6 point Divisor if I did that.
So I will do that one first.

NOTE = By The way I found a percentage & the amounts of bets we had as mistakes in the previous post
so I went back in and fixed them up.(in case anyone had printed them out)

The difference with this way is that we don't put the divisor up when we lose.
And when the Divisor gets to 2 we double the Divisor to 4.
And we add another 5 unit win target to the 7 unit win target that we started with which would total 12

Note Here>>that when the divisor is at 2 and we have doubled it to 4 then if we have 2 losses in a row we add 1 to the divisor until it reaches 6 again & we start all over.)

OK here we go.

L= bet 1x1 lost
L=bet 2x2 lost.................so now we add the 6 Divisor with the win Target of 7=6/13
L=bet 6/13=3x3=19 lost
L=bet 6/19=4x4=27 lost
w=bet 6/27=5x5=37 won less 15 back=22
w=bet 5/22=5x5=32 won less 15 back=17
L= bet 4/17=5x5=27 lost
w=bet 4/27=7x7=41 won less 21 back=20
L=bet 3/20=7x7=34 lost
w=bet 3/34=12x12=58 won less 36 back=22
OK so now the the Divisor would be 2 like this=2/22
2/22+
2/5
........
4/27=7x7 to bet .........Now don't forget our win target is now (12)..so make a note of it
We continue.
......
w=bet 4/27=7x7=41 won less 21 back=20
w=bet 3/20=7x7=34 won less 21 back=13
OK so now the divisor is down to 2 again so we add once more 2/5
2/13+
2/5
..........
4/18=5x5 to bet........Now the win target is 12+5=(17)
We continue
w=bet 4/18=5x5=28 won less 15 back=13 from the 17 win target = [4] Profit

So now e go back to betting the 1x1 & the 2x2

w=bet 1x1 won = 1+4=[5] profit

The Good part is that we have had the same amount of bets (14) for a profit of 5 units.
Compared to the Break even with the normal  6 point Divisor.

The Bad part is the outlay & the bet sizes.
This way is 142 outlay and 5 units profit=3.5% profit on outlay.
And the biggest bet is 12x12

Compared to the first example.
120 units outlay & a Break even situation.
And the biggest bet was 9x9

Is it worth the risk ??
Well thats a Question that can only be answered by the Player.

The normal Divisor is a lot Safer no Matter what.

The Aggressive Divisor is riskier but gets more units won WHEN winning.

Mate If I were you I would stick to the normal Divisor while learning it...
Dip your toe in the water so to speak.

Good On Ya Mate

Hi people,

Lanky's 6 (or 4) point divisor money management system seems great for LDs (and others) when chasing LWs (and LWW/LLW), however, if you're like me and find it a bit too complicated to work out in time for your next bet - that is, by the time you've worked out how much your gonna bet, you've missed the last bets call - I've had great success with a very simple method. All I do is raise my bet by 1 unit if I lose, i.e, instead of betting 5&5, after a loss I bet 10&10, and after another loss, 15&15, then 20&20, 25&25, etc. If I win, I simply reduce the bet amount by one unit (whether betting Ls or Ws). When I eventually get back to my bank original bank balance (that is, the balance I had before I starting losing) I return to flat betting again. I am not doubling my bet (this ain't no Martingale), just raising or lowering it a unit and continuing to do so until I'm back to where I was. I have found this system very easy to operate and so far easy to recover my losses. Because the LW strategy has a high hit rate this progression method should, I hope, never get too out of control.

Just wondering what other people's thoughts are on my simple little progression method for LW hunting. Or, what other methods people use on LW hunting on the LDs besides point divisors.

Cheers

Hi ChickenDinner

Mate the 6 point Divisor is real easy & quick to use once you get use to it.
I Play it on 30 & 20 second wheels sometimes.
I do put a lot more writing down here with it so as to make it easier to teach it.
But really whats about hard with doing this

6/13=3x3=19

The result then determines what you do from there.

However I can tell you right now mate your way of betting will only work on winning streaks.
It will perform badly on even so so streaks...
Trust me mate on this...I know..if it worked I would be doing it.

Don't believe me ..believe the results Cobber.

I will do the exact same bets on the exact same Lw notations as the previous two examples I did.

L=1x1 lost-2
L=2x2 lost-4-2= -6
L=3x3 lost-6-6= -12
L=4x4 lost-8-12= -20
w=5x5 won=5-20= -15
w=4x4 won=4-15= -11
L=3x3 lost-6-11= -17
w=4x4 won=4-17= -13
L=3x3 lost-6-13= -19
w=4x4 won=4-19= -15
w=3x3 won=3-15= -12
w=2x2 won=2-12= -10
w=1x1 won=1-10= -9
w=1x1 won=1-9= -8

So -8 And thats on $1 units...Using the $5 units in your example it would be a $40 loss.
Compared to My
1st example which was Break Even.
And the 2nd one was + [5] units profit.

OK so now if you believe that I have done this correctly.

Then lets set about trying to fix up the way you prefer to bet.

What I believe you have to do is after every Loss you have to win two bets in a Row before you start to reduce your bets.
Lets now try that & see what happens

L=1x1 lost-2
L=2x2 lost-4-2= -6
L=3x3 lost-6-6= -12
L=4x4 lost-8-12= -20
w=5x5 won=5-20= -15
w=5x5 won=5-15= -10
L=4x4 lost-8-10= -18
w=5x5 won=5-18= -13
L=5x5 lost-10-13= -23
w=6x6 won=6-23= -17
w=6x6 won=6-17= -11
w=5x5 won=5-11= -6
w=4x4 won=4-6= -2
w=3x3 won=3-2= +{1} Profit.

That's a big difference from losing 8 to winning {1} mate
That's a 9 unit turn around.(or $45 using $5 units)
And all because we made a simple adjustment to the betting.

I am just trying to Help thats all Cobber.

In the end You may decide that all this is the silly rantings of an Old Man that knows nothing about betting.

If so just disregard what I have written.

Good On Ya Mate

ChickenDinner

Hey Lanky,

Thanks for the post.

I have absolutely no doubt that you are 100% right on this one mate.

So far (and being somewhat new to all this) I seem be getting mostly winning steaks (beginners luck no doubt), so I've not put my progression system through the grindstone properly yet.

And as you pointed out, the results speak for themselves.

I'll have a bash with your "after every Loss you have to win two bets in a Row before you start to reduce" method (which seems a great improvement), and I'll also see
if I can get my (simple) head around the 6 point divisors quick enough to get my bets on in time.

I've also come across Victor's excellent roulette LW generator, so this now saves me few more seconds of time when playing online.

Anyway, fantastic post mate and thanks a million for helping me yet again. ;D
Cheers for now

Hi Lanky,

Thanks for sharing, but I have to tell you I find your equations a bit confusing.
For example you write 6/13=3x3=19

6/13 is NOT equal to 3 nor equal to 3x3
and 3x3 is NOT in any way equal to 19
.....

.....

Hi Kav.

Lets try & unconfuse you My Friend.

Lets try & find out how we got to the figure of 19 in the 1st place.

Here are the lost bets before we got to the Divisor in that example.

Bet 1x1 Lost-2
Bet 2x2 lost-6

What we do now mate is add the lost [6] units to a 6 point Divisor Plan which has its own win target of [7].
So
6+
7
....
13 << Total to get

Now we divide the 13 by 6>> like this=6/13=2.166666>> Rounded up it is 3
So
6/13=3x3=19<<this is now the complete total includeing the next bet of 3x3.

Just to make sure you understand ..or that I have explained it in a way that you can understand.
6 << lost units.....Plus
7 << win Target...Plus
6 << for the next Bet= 3x3 on the selected two Dozens/Columns
.............
19 << Total to Get Back

So You see 6/13 is Equal to 3x3 (rounded up) to bet and that all added up does Equal=19

Your Friend

Lanky

kav

Lanky, thanks for baring with me.

I still dont understand the X3   in 3X3. Does this mean we bet that amount for the next 3 spins?

Hi Kav.

No worries Mate.
I will always help where I can Cobber.

I think I see where you are having the problem My Friend.

Those 3x3 means that we are betting 3 on one Dozen & 3 on another Dozen.
So when You see 3x3 it means we are betting on Two dozens or Columns.

Allow me to show the difference.
If we were betting on only 1 Dozen or Column.

It would look like this
6/19=3 <<to bet...see that Mate ??

Now if we are betting on 2 of the 3 Dozens or Columns it looks like this.
6/19=3x3 <<

I hope that helps My Friend.

Good On Ya Mate.

He sets everything out clearly so its easy to understand.
And Me being an avid Student of His I try & do the same.

I tried your 6 point divisor for 2 dozens. I followed your instructions to the letter and lost a 700 unit betting bank on betvoyager no 0 roulette.
The losing streak from Hell took 2 hours to finish me off.
