Hi Guys,

Just a quick question that everyone will have a view on.....

How much to you think is "good enough" to win in 100 spins ??

What are you looking for your UPS (Units Profit per Spin) to be????

E.g. +150 in 100 spins is 1.5 UPS  :o :o

I know any win is a good win, but what do you think is a realistic win ??

Many thanks to anybody who takes the time to reply.....[smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Hello Stephen,

I do not really count the number of spins most of the time I just stop after winning 10% to 20% of my bankroll. The more you play and the more you are exposed to the house edge.Thats my feel about this.

Thx Jerek  ;)

That is what I am asking, do people bet to "hit & run" or are they happy to grind it out.....

should be interesting to see what the spread is  ???

Maybe if your bankroll is $2500 and a strong system that $150 in 100 spins sounds about right.

Hi Proof,
1.5 UPS on a regular basis would be out of this world  :o IMO (assuming you base unit is 1)

the figures you quoted above could be seen in another light, winning 6% of your BR in 100 spins....

Is that good/bad/acceptable????

I think I can accept that kind of profits if the risk invole is low

Assuming the casino will allow minimum bets of $1 that would be acceptable (for me).

As the house edge is 2.7 units per 100 spins. 2.7 units win per 100 spins would be great. Than you have turned the house edge to you.

Myself, I'm looking for a way to play and make 10-20 units per 100 spins.

2 units.

I know any win is a good win, but what do you think is a realistic win ??

2 units.

That would be 20 Euro or 30 Euro.

Perhaps you should think along the lines of R.O.I.--return on investment.  Say you placed 100 one-dollar bets.  You have bet $100.  If you win $5 over the course of that 100 bets, I think you're doing great.

Now to make some money!  When you know you have a winning system--which, over time--will return you 5%, you just bet fifties instead of ones.  You need three things to go to $50 bets:  1) Bankroll; 2) Nerves to not make mistakes when betting; and 3) Self-control when things are going too well or quite badly.  The thing I love about the G.U.T is that mistakes are not terminal.  If you're betting a Martingale and goof up on the last bet and forget a number and it hits--well, you're sunk!  No so with the G.U.T. as it is only one bet at flat betting you have lost.  Not good, mind you, but not terminal to the trot or session.

My goal with the G.U.T is to reach my thousand-dollar mark using ones and then go to fives and stay there.  I hope to make---on average---$50 per session for every session I play. I plan on at least ten winning sessions per month or $500 profit.  I don't think that's out of line.  That will happen--hopefully--some time in the early spring of '09.

Soon the wife and I are going to Kansas City and I will convert Track4 to pen-and-paper and use it on the 00 wheels.  This should be interesting!  I already have the lay-out in mind and how to move the numbers from one line to the lower line and so forth.  It will just take practice.

@ Sam

Yep I see where you are coming from with R.O.I fair comment....

50% of your starting bankroll is more than enough. In fact if you can achieve this on regular basis then please get in touch with me  ;D.  On a serious note if I can get up to 20% return then I am happy to stop as soon as I hit a loss. All these wins add up. If you can hit 4 winning sessions out of 5 with the other one losing 20% then you are hitting 60% ROI in a week. You can make a nice wage out of that. It is not greedy and achievable. Some weeks you may just hit 3 out of 5 and come away with a 20% ROI but if you are increasing your bets as you build your bankroll the slow weeks will still reward you.
The thing behind all this is that greed will kill you everytime and it is our number 1 enemy.

enrique.

I quote you: "The thing behind all this is that greed will kill you everytime and it is our number 1 enemy."

I posted this: nolinks://vlsroulette.com/gambling-and-roulette-related/the-various-forms-of-greed/

and was told this by insidebet (The red is mine): "Two cat,

There is no such a thing as "greed". There are winning methods and loosing ones. If your method is proven to be a winner, the longer you play the more you will win. And vice versa. Why break your balls trying to figure the "right" time to exit the table? If you have the right plan just keep on playing as long as you feel like it. So called "money management" is useless unless you have a winning way to play. If you do have a winner, then you really can use money management to grow your bank roll.

Insidebet"

You seem a very intelligent person. I'm quite happy to learn that you too believe in greed! And I agree, it is enemy number one!
