Title: VLS Roulette Challenge 2009
Post by: Shorty on July 06, 2009, 08:07:04 AM
Okay so this is what I was thinking - We have a little challenge thing going for the next few weeks/months. Each person that is interested in participating deposits 100 euros onto Dublinbet, and each week (let's say each Sunday night), they announce their current bankroll balance (and the ups and downs of how their week went if they wish).

Now there wouldn't be any rules, you would be able to play as much or as little as you like and bet as big or as little as you like. This is just for fun and I want to see if this will generate much interest and bring the VLS community closer together since all the negativeness we have had this year.

What do you think? (Yes I'm talking to YOU)

Sounds like fun.
Here is some suggestions for rules to follow.

1) Bankroll is 100 Eur.
2) Report result with a screen shot from the online casino in the end of the week, Sunday
3) Have to play at least one session itch week
4) Free to pick any online casino
5) You are free to tell or not to tell how you play

Cheers

That sounds good to me. I will probably be doing this regardless of how many people are interested, just for some fun. :)

This sounds like a good idea, but I have a suggestion of one other rule to add:

Along with the screenshot of the online casino, you add a screenshot of your deposit/withdrawal screen (one continuous screenshot...the whole screen)

The reason I'm suggesting this is because I've often thought how easy it is for those who show screenshots of their gaming screens with a positive balance to have just deposited more money before they took the screenshot.  I mean, let's say you lose $50 (or whatever DublinBet uses...I'm from the US so I don't know).  Now, your balance is only $50.  So, you go ahead and make another deposit on lets say...$100.  Now, your balance on the gaming screen would be $150.

Then, if the additional screenshot of the deposit/withdrawal screen were shown, it again would be all too easy to just edit the screenshot to show only the most recent deposit of $100.

Just my thoughts...

This would be based on the honestly system, there wouldn't really be any point adding more money to your account. I'm assuming the people that participate in this are going to be well respected members of VLS, whom all are honest.

Besides, you don't win anything for this (except the money you earned).

So far Lucky Strike and I are in, anyone else?

This will probably begin during the end or July/start of August, so plenty of time to sign up.

We can't make deposits in the States.

I believe video-captures would take away a large chunk of the paranoia surrounding screen captures on image.

Of course, when you are recording, move windows a lot... for the naysayers to have to say "what a good video-editing, fake balance even even blurs on the moves"

Would you participate in this challenge if you could?
(say, someone else make a deposit for you...)

In the same way that we make sense of his posts.  They won't be able to.

Spike will never agree to anything where he has to actually put up money.  I believe that Spike is a teenager.
