A man was terminally ill and staying at the hospital. One day, the doctor came in and said, "Sir, I'm sorry to do this, but I have some good news and some bad news. Which do you want first?"
"I'll take the bad news," said the man.
"Well, I'm sorry to tell you this, but we have to amputate both of your legs. There's nothing we can do to save them."
"Oh geez," said the man. "That's terrible....well, what's the good news?"
"The good news is the guy across the hall wants to buy your slippers."
