Why Oh Why....

Hi Guys,
               I was looking at some registration forms for Uk land based casinos....


Virtually everyone of them ask "Are You A Member Of Any Other Uk Land Based Casinos"

Why do they do this?

Will they confer with the other casino and find out if you win or not?

If you do win will they blackball your registration??

Its a question you can answer yes or no to. Either way they will find out the truth. I have no doubt that the casinos share certain details between them.
The reasons are many more than just track your winnings or more likely, the losses. You could have been labeled a "brawler" or past poster, or a  gambling addict or even a known money laundrer. Either way, they wanna know.

If you are known in other casinos as a guy who continously points his mobile phone at the wheel and win a lot of money, you can be darned sure its something they will use in the future relationship with you.  

If you are known as a guy who always wires his bankroll direct to casino because it has an uncomfortable "cash size" they will also love to know that too.  Usually a good sign of an upcoming high turnover at the tables.

So you see, there can be plenty of reasons to know omething about you and other casinos experiences with you.

Personally i got a minor shock some 2 years ago when i during a Poker event at a casino, in the confusion happened to see a picture of myself, on a labtop computer behind the pit boss, where i stretch across a table placing some chips. Did i give them my permission to take that picture ? No i didn`t but i guess there wouldn`t be much point in creating more fuzz by making a complaint about it.

They don't need your permission. Just like they don't need your permission to surveil you with hidden video cameras when you're in their casino.
