I received an email from Len Goodfair [manager@fairwaycasino.com]

100% unsolicited & total n utter spam...... :diablo: :diablo:

The question is how did "Len" get my email address in the 1st place ??

My email address is hidden from the public here @ VLS  ??? ???

So basically all I can think of is :-

1) this forum has been hacked & data stolen

2) the data has been sold on, there are several affiliate links in the email

& before people say I'm full of it the email was ALSO addressed to my christian name so how was that obtained ??

The email is here below :-

Sorry, my bad. It was me! (kidding)

It was probably either sold on, or you submitted the details to a site that was also owned by them. I doubt it would have come from the forum. Usually professional companies know exactly where your contact details were sourced from, so perhaps ask them.

There's a good idea  :good:

So pls step forward Len or Gian Perroni member "FairwayCasinoMgr" here @ VLS, pls tell me where you got my email address  n 1st name from ??

& BTW Steve, the email address I have listed here & @ rouletteforum is NOT an email address that I use for ANYTHING else.... ???

Steve

I dont think anyone but the mods can see your email address. And I dont have a clue what your name is as i cant see it anywhere on your profile. Best I can think of at moment is you submitted somewhere and forgot. It is possible that forum settings temporarily allowed display of email addresses - I doubt it though. Still leaves question of how they got your name.

Hi Xman,

First off, until I actually know what your email address is, it is going to be difficult to answer your question.   If you would like to PM me with it I can see if I can determine the actual source.

Rather than be rude and accusatory, "please" works just fine.   I joined this forum to participate, and I welcome your questions.

So my rather vague answer is predicated on 2 things; the first being that you haven't provided me the information to answer your question, and the second being that I may not be able to answer it.   The reason I say that is because, like any marketer, I am already spending a significant amount of money and time sourcing prospect lists.

While I apologize for the unsolicited approach - I much prefer to enter into a direct dialogue on a forum like this where I know there are people interested in roulette - again, like all marketing - TV, radio, print and online, we need to do our best to try and get our messages to individuals with the best chance of responding, and with the least chance of ignoring the marketing.

I would avoid trying to send a person with no babies a diaper offer.

So, because your name must have appeared on a list of people interested in roulette, you received our email.   If I can source the actual place your name came from, once I know it, I will let you know.   If not it is not because I do not want to, but because you may be part of a larger "gamblers" list.   We have purchased hundreds of thousands of records of people that fall into this category.

Bottom line, please accept my sincere apologies from myself, and all other advertisers that simply try and provide you with offers that are tailored to your interests.

That's NOT going to happen Gian, I get unsolicited spam email from your casino when I didn't think you knew my email address. I wouldn't like to guess how much spam I will get when your casino DOES know my email address.
Perhaps your best route would be to contact "Len" who sent the email surely he will know ?

Where have I been rude and accusatory ?

prospects list that your casino use to send out unsolicited spam email ?

good of you to apologise Gian, but as stated earlier in this thread, getting an unsolicited spam email from your casino is NEVER going to get my gaming business. BTW why were there affiliate codes on some lines of the email I received.

Is Len an actually manager at your casino or one of your many affiliates fighting over the mighty $$$

Hi XMAN,

Sorry I can't answer your question as to the source of your name when you won't tell me it.   Stalemate I guess.

As for the other questions raised, the reason that their are affiliate codes in the mailer are to let me know which players have come from a specific mailer so I can adjust my marketing efforts.   Nothing untoward I assure you.

As for Len, he is a paid position - not an affiliate.

Thanks for raising your concerns.

As I've stated before, you have more information about me than I like..... :'(

Fair enough.....

As for Len, he is a paid position - not an affiliate.

so that's great then, just email Len and ask him how he got my details, easy as ABC.... right ??

Thanks for raising your concerns.

Any emails from Len, Gian ?

No doubt you are busting your balls to get to the bottom of this one right ?

I look forward to your reply....... :good:

Xman - I am not sure how I could be any clearer.   In order for me to try and find out where your name came from I need to know what it is.   You won't provide that information, but look for an answer.

I can't even remove you from our prospect list unless you unsubscribed!

xman1970

So your casino / Company is so big already your left hand doesn't know what it's right hand is doing ??

Yikes ??

Ask Len !!! Or is it already that unorganised ?? Surely you will want to come across as a legitimate "live wheel" option for people here ?

IF I was you I'd wish to look like I trying to do "all I can" to find out why some unsolicited spam was sent !!!!

Instead it looks like you couldn't careless AND your based in Costa Rica  :swoon: :swoon:

Looks like it's you that going to need the luck to get people to your tables...... :rtfm:
