Title: Basic table limit questions
Post by: Iceboy on January 11, 2010, 04:52:25 PM
I don't go to casinos very often.  My roulette experience is recently more in the virtual world.   If I ever start feeling good about my chances, I may make a trip.

In the US, or more precisely Vegas, what is a typical limit on outside bets, with say a $25 minimum? Does that limit pertain to all outside bets (columns, dozens, streets, etc) and not just EC? Is that limit per bet or per player? In other words, let's say there's a $500 limit.  Can each bet be $500 or the total of all my outside bets must be limited to $500?

Thanks for the help.

all casinos are different you will need to do a little research, most have a minimum inside and outside bet but all casinos vary greatly

Very handy for LV. Keep in mind, this is only for SINGLE zero roulette >>> nolinks://nolinks.vegasmadeeasy.com/gaming/roulette (nolinks://nolinks.vegasmadeeasy.com/gaming/roulette)

Hi iceboy...yeah $25.00 includes 25 min $1.00 bets on inside or $25.00 bets per even chance bets outside..which means if u play a dozen 1 bet and a dozen 2 bet they consider that a outside bet and cost u $50.00 per play...and streets bets are considered the same as a outside bet  ....Go down to the fairmount district (old Vegas)...u will find much cheaper min. bets down there...during the week ...table min. are way much cheaper..and the 500.00 limit is the most u place on a bet.. but the max does differ between inside and outside.. they will be most cooperative giving details if asked...good luck..

Thanks all for the responses, but I'm not sure I got exactly what I'm looking for.  I'm more interested in maximum table limits than minimums. I know these vary greatly, but let me ask in in a little more direct way.

Let's say I'm at a table with a $25 minimum bet.

- What would be a typical maximum on an outside bet $500? $1000?
- Let's say that the maximum is 'X'. Can I put X on as many outside bets as I like (up to the overall table limit), or is the total of my outside bets limited to X?

Based on a min. bet ($25 as example) ...you can not calculate what the max outside bet is, its not an equation. IMO, for $25 min. bet, most likely, $500 on the outside. Rarely will the max. payout for the inside AND outside be the same. It DEPENDS on the casino. Yes, you can put the MAX. bet on  the outsides in multiple spots. The max. is what they will PAY YOU, not what you bet.  I'll give an example of my casino here...true story. We have a max. of $3,500 inside payout. A guy had a black ($100) on #2 and a green ($25) on the 2/5 split. The #2 hit. They paid him his $3,500 and gave his $25 bet BACK TO HIM even though he won. Ken
