Some of us agree, if you are up 20% of your BR, quit for the day. I have no issue with that. My real question however, some have a rule of.......if you lose 70% of your BR (whatever the %), also quit for the day.

Question being, why not just BRING that 70% (which would be 100%) to the casino and when/if you lose it ALL, then quit? I dont see the difference. Why have the higher BR if you KNOW it will NOT be used?

Because it's a bad feeling to leave with empty pockets (even if the loss is small.)  Losses tend to make a gambler feel really crummy.

Moreover if you're with wife/girlfriend/significant other you risk the nagging and pamphlets from Gambler's Anonymous being placed in your hands.

If a 100% bankroll is  recommend then it  should remain  100 %. That`s the FIRST order  of discipline  to be observed   and is  not subject for negotiations. :ok:

HAPPY WINNINGS!!!

P.S. A 70 % loss limit is  too steep  of a hole  to  climb out of but loved  by the casinos . :diablo:

"A 70 % loss limit is  too steep  of a hole  to  climb out of but loved  by the casinos" >>> I was picking anything. It might be 60% or 50%, whatever.

One question, how many chips is 100% of your bankrolls? mine is about 200 chips.

Regards, What you´re asking MR. J. is a phicologycal factor, no more than that, .

Mr J

You're basing it on the NUMBER of chips?

no sorry, i mean your stack for play that day or the session.

For example, my bankroll is 10.000€, so I use in every sessión 100€ , 1€ = 1 unit or chip. so 100€ is 100% of my stack. Every € i won over 100€ I put it in my reserve or (bankroll), and I only play the 100 units stacks, that´s how I play. I stop when I reach 50€ or lost all my bank.

Regards.

That 10,000 Euro is way too small to hit  a casino with. Better   take  a minimum of 25,000 Euro  along if you can afford it. :ok:

Those  25,000 Euros  should come from  your MASTER bankroll ( which is a MUST HAVE) set aside specifically for gambling  only.

I think that having higher bankroll has a huge advantage. This gives you additional protection against losing streaks. Yes, some part of this bankroll won't be ever used, however you will sleep well knowing that you won't go broke in just one session.
