Why more do not play on the single zero wheel?

I understand not everyone has it, you're off the hook. At my casino here, we do have (only one) single zero wheel. When it opened, it was always at $25 min. but few played on it.

Its now permantely down to $15 min. Alright, lets say you only have a BR of $50, I can understand playing on the $5 min. table, stretch it out a bit. What confuses me, others that are playing $20-$25 per spin on the $5 or $10 table??? The single zero table is a few feet away.  :girl_wacko: I just dont get it?  Ken

maybe they just don't realize the house edge is greater @ the 00 wheel ??

maybe they think @ a higher limit table the "croupier" is better & will spin away from their bets ??

maybe they like betting on two zero pockets ??

maybe their way of play is sector based & the 00 wheel suits them better ??

the most likely is they just don't know what they are doing...... :-[

Why don't more people play single zero?
I don't know, but I reckon just by observation that 99% of players dont care about odds and just go to lose their money with the hope of maybe winning big once in a while. It amazes me too. At least try and beat the house, don't just give them more profits.

In Australia all roulette tables should be single zero. My casino had 1 00 American layout with a low $2.50 limit. Now they have made all $2.50 tables 00 but they have kept the European layout and just put a 00 next to the 0. I wont play these as when it hits near the zero sector there is a real high chance of a 0 or 00 coming up.

It doesnt seem to deter anyone else though as the tables are always packed!

For sector play, you get a true 50/50 chance on a double zero wheel.   19 numbers on each half of the wheel.

I can still play HALF of the wheel (18 numbers) on a single zero wheel and omit one of the numbers. It does not even have to be the zero, I can exclude the 23 for example, play 18 numbers of a section, same thing and better odds.  Ken

But you would still lose that bet if the ball lands on that omitted number.    You would still have 19 numbers against you.   I guess it all depends on what type of EC strategy you're playing.

Now I do feel stupid, I though that you only play the 00 wheel. yes here at my B&M casino the same problem. Just the single 0 wheel. But al the guys think its better to play on the lowest minimum table. Then they stack the table with ponies, the R25 chips like $25 and think they will win more and get a better edge or spin. LOL

There is only so much I can tell them. If there are just a few that play the single 0 - go for it the casino might give you better spins to get the other guys to join in at the table.

Mr J

It depends. The 0 table is not always open when I play. Lots of times I play at 8 or 9am. Also, some of my methods start at out at $10 min., especially when I play two numbers, $5 per. I would say I play on the 0 table 60% of the time.  Ken

I would say I play on the 0 table 60% of the time.  Ken

so 40% of the time you have to resort to playing the higher house edge....  :-[

Could you not play @ a different time in the day Ken ?

you know when the single zero wheel is in use ?

Over a year that could make a big difference to your profit  :good:
