Title: Professional players
Post by: labille on June 25, 2009, 11:18:06 AM
I'm kind of a beginner in roulette, but very interested in studying thoroughly that game including history and everything related.

I would like to know about names, are there any professional involved in playing Roulette? Can you provide me with a few names?

Thanks in advance.

There aren't any because 'professional' means also making a decent living by it.

Will there ever be? Perhaps, but not by "learning everything about the game or its history".  Only new concepts and developments in math and/or physics need apply.

I will go out on a limb here, write that even the so-called blackjack pro's are only fooling themselves. Their actual edge too low, and the variance way-too high to sustain even those winnings.  Do you know any real blackjack pro's? (I don't.)

Says who?

They do exist; very few and understandably secretive though. Real professionals will never tell you that they are pros, especially on a public forum. Also most of them use physics (bias and vb experts).

A couple of names in this forum come to mind.

Victor, Lanky, Lucky Strike, Iboba, Clothdog and Winkel are the best I know of.

I only know two that could but I don't think they do.
First you have to have a team then you have to travel.

Then there is some shorter attempts that has succeed by others.
I do not know any long term.

The only professional roulette player I know of is Christian Kaisan.

Marven,

So does Santa Clause, but he isn't going to admit who he is either, ha.  Then we'd all know the secret to being immortal, etc, right?  As if more of us couldn't figure that out ourselves were it even possible.

Nathan's (actual) person-example seems to be self-admitting to something?  Is that guy then a pro or not?  Or just a lucky RETIRED winner?  Aren't there're always the statistically-correct number of those persons regardless their mind-sets toward the games?

'Professional' connotes also some sort of "brotherhood", or association of many.  Idiot-savants with special tachistoscopic abilities are even rarer than the "Rainman"-type movies let on.  And given the higher relative HE's of roulette, and the degree of randomness of virtually all casino-roulette games, i doubt any machine could throw accurately enough to overcome it.  Has it even been tried? (Who applied which fields of engineering, physics, mathematics, etc?)

I don't know anything about roulette... just trying to get a handle the question here w/o getting into all sorts of rationales of this/that secret, buying/selling systems, testing those systems, etc.  Eg, everything casinos do can have explanations and purposes other than foiling specific players.

I mean, if we're here to "beat around the bushes", what's the point?

Hi Proofreaders2000.

No Mate I am not a Professional at Roulette ........and I am sure Lucky isn't either.

I have never relied on Roulette to feed My Family on a full time Basis Cobber.

Your Friend.

Lanky.

I understand, Lanky.  I was thinking about the years of experience you and Lucky Strike have.  IMO that qualifies both of you as experts.

Thanks all for your replies, I appreciate :).
I guess we can not talk about professional, but experts and that's making me think about a new thread.
