Title: Spike @ VLS
Post by: Steve on April 19, 2010, 01:35:04 AM
Spike contacted me requesting to be part of VLS. If you're familiar with the forums, you'd know Spike and I arent fond of each other. I basically said to him that him being here is not a problem provided:

* he is respectful of people and abides by the terms
* the general population of members accept him here, because ultimately it is a forum for members, and they decide what they want

I dont agree with a lot of what spike says or how he behaves - it's no secret. Same with Ken here. But I have no problem with either of them being here.

If you dont agree with spike being here, I suggest just take it as it comes. It doesnt need to be a big issue. If you dont like him, then dont communicate with him. If he or anyone attacks you or is a general and unjust pain in the butt, report it and give specific examples - simple.

As far as I'm concerned, like any member, he knows what is or isnt acceptable so he knows if he wants to participate here he is subject to the same rules as everyone.

Why on Earth would Spike want to be part of VLS?

He got banned, then spent the next few months insulting the VLS admins & mods calling them all manner of derogatory names.

For instance he told me on GG to go back to the trash & scammers on VLS along with all the kindergarden players.

Basically he hates VLS, so why would he want to be here?

It would only be for his own agenda, certainly not to better the forum.

That said, I really don't mind either way...It's just a bit strange, especially since the recent talk on GG of him possibly running a huge scam for the last so many years.

Its the old mod's I didn't like, not VLS.    Victor and I have always gotten along well, just ask him.    I got banned because I insulted Wendel and Lanky didn't like it.    Now Lanky is gone and I'm fine with coming back.    I'm good at following rules, you'll see.

Actually, I came back for the smilies!      :P  :shout:  :yahoo:

Don't they work?

No scam, I just won't take a test without getting paid.  How is that a scam? If you take a long enough test, any system can be reverse engineered by a knowledgable person.  So you're basically giving your system away for free.  Why would I do that?

I see no issue with Spike. The guy knows the 'game' and actually PLAYS. Ken

and actually PLAYS.  Ken>>

The more actual players a forum has, the more it thrives.  They have real exprience, ask real questions, and are interested in answers that work.

QuoteIf you take a long enough test, any system can be reverse engineered by a knowledgable person.

The only way to protect your system against reverse engineering is to never play in a casino, either online or B&M. How do you know your system hasn't already been reverse engineered?

At least with Laurance's offer you could have made some cash, and you would only have needed to play 150 spins with your strike to satisfy his conditions. Are you saying your system can be reverse engineered in 150 spins?

You mean like Ellis Davis' old "get-rich-quick" seminars for $10 a head, where it said, "Meet actual players."

Big difference between "actually playing" and "spouting off" on the (anonymous) internet about anything and everything else.  Spike's definition of "paying your dues", lol.   What a moron.

I think GARNabby should be banned. I've never read anything from him that was constructive. Ridding the planet of trend players is not constructive. This happy face (cookie monster) member just called another here a moron. I think that is beyond the pale. The debate is about trend players strategies and not about the anger in math oriented players.

I'm inclined to agree.

GARNabby... get constructive or get out.

Garnabby unfortunately I must say a lot of what you say is just not constructive, you attack people personally including me, and you do "dance on the line". Dont take it personally but if it doesnt change we'd have to remove you.

I have removed reply 13 & 14 from this thread.

Spike, this is classic spike smartarse behaviour.

You get banned for saying a particular insult, then you come back months later and almost immediately say it again by sneaking it in the back door.

In fairness I have also removed GARNabby's allegation (reply 10)... because it was not accurate.

If spike or anyone is a disruptive influence, they will be removed. Everyone please be careful of what you write. Trust me I'm not going to tolerate GG-style arguments or members that perpetuate it. The only way to keep boards friendly and productive is by removing the relatively few people that cause the issues.

PS - I've just removed a load of messages from this thread. For longer term members (not naming names), if you break the rules again you'll be banned for a few days. You know the rules. I've also removed a few posts that werent relevant. The last one from Bombus most certainly was relevant.

Everyone, lighten up please.

I do agree with you Steve. A couple years ago, Spike and I went at it big time, I highly disliked the guy. Things change, people mellow out. I have MANY GREAT friends at GG but I also call Spike my friend as well. The guy knows his stuff. I'm not saying he wins 3K a day but in terms of 'casino experiences', thats what most interests me. Even if a poster loses every damn week, I am curious to read the stories.

Not all 'good posts' have to do with winning. We can learn alot from the losers (not saying you Spike). I can sit here and WISH things all damn day. I wish Turbo (my friend) posted more. I wish Turbo and Spike got a long better etc. blah blah blah. As long as Spike, myself and EVERYONE keeps their cool at ANY site, I dont see issues arising. I HATE bias ganging up (at any site  :o ), its a shame it still takes place.  Ken

I learned to like Ken because he proved he was a real player who regularly plays for real money. I only really argue with posers. People who play 3 times a year and think they know it all.

Ken it's not that bad. Unless you are in certain parts, then you dont want to stand near water because of crocodiles, sit down because of spiders, or walk anywhere because of snakes.

I forgot about the crocs, good times. My sister and husband visited southern Australia and loved it. He went surfing and I told him he was NUTS, too many sharks, no thanks. I read that 8 of the top 10 most venimous (sp?) snakes in the world, live in Australia.  Ken

Australia isn't the place to be if you're an arachnophobe. While back-packing in Northern Queensland, I was woken up in the night by a huge huntsman spider running over my face. These guys are big (they can reach a leg span of more than 10 inches), hairy, and very fast. Not venomous, but they don't need to be - they just give you a heart attack!

I read somewhere that there have been no fatalities from spider bites (the funnel web is the worlds most venomous spider) in Oz since the early 80's, but deaths have been caused indirectly, for example when a huntsman falls into your lap from a sun visor in your car...
