For all the serious researchers/players:
I'm getting my new wheel today. My other two wheels were used so much that the ball track was just completely screwed - although as per my previous post about them, I'll sell them on after having them refurbished to a reasonable state.
The new wheel has a Velstone ball track (hard like granite), so it doesnt wear like the others. This is not like secondhand wheels where the ball decelerates very quickly and you can very easily predict the ball fall time - this is a wheel just like in the casino. I'll be doing a set of DVDs containing around 1,000 spins in the coming weeks. They will be available for purchase. So if you ever wanted to practice on a real wheel with realistic ball deceleration characteristics of a modern wheel in new condition, keep an eye on my site. You dont need to worry about testing in the real casino anymore, or secretly recording footage to take home. They will be available in either high definition or standard DVDs.
I'll also be doing another public demo with the new wheel. I frequently do the private demos to people interested in purchase or partnership - in such cases you will see more. But the public demos are different - you only see a basic demonstration of computer capabilities, and from there you can arrange a more private meeting. Register for the public demos at nolinks.genuinewinner.com/conference.htm (nolinks://nolinks.genuinewinner.com/conference.htm) - there will about 3 of them in successive days, which saves me from carting the wheel back and forth.
As a bonus I always bring 2 of Forester's computers and 2 of Howe's computers for comparison. Then if people want they can see if people like forester, howe and bago are what I say they are.
PS - If Howe's purchasers want to see how badly they've been scammed, they need only do very basic testing. For forester's purchasers, you need to see a comparison to know my computers succeed where his fail. I've recorded previous demos but they havent been edited to remove sensitive parts. To make it easier I'll record the next one but will be more careful to not give anything too sensitive, so it wouldnt need time consuming editing.
Steve,
Really, there's not much difference between wheels with the Velstone tracks and the wheels without it. It's just an up sell gimmick. The only real benefit is the track will last longer before cracks or craze appear.
On a Standard Huxley Mark Series or Saturn: The finish that is currently on the ball track is a rigid Polyester finish mixed with a small amount of Alimina Trihydrate, sprayed over the top of hardwood.
On a Huxley Saturn with the Velstone track: The Polyester layer is much thicker and there is a higher percentage of Alimina Trihydrate and a small amount of pigment added. Essentially, both wheels have the same finish and both finishes are basically just as hard. The main difference is the thickness of the finish, and the presence of a pigment. You certainly can't compare Velstone to granite. Velstone is basically what most people have on their counter tops and bathoom sinks.
You're still going to find that there is a strong ball decay shudder and chatter on the Velstone tracks when the ball slows, but the track won't develop craze or large cracks as quickly.
On Average, both tracks have very similar ball decay times and both tend to still get the dominant ball drops. Some of these wheels have a dominant drop strait out of the crate. For some reason, Huxley's just don't polish the tracks out as smoothly as the Borgone Wheels. However, the shudder effect does help create a more random effect that is more difficult to predict.
If you're looking for a ball decay speed that appears more linear in nature, then you should look at the Borgone Wheels. They are real woods tracks, but the tracks are a better quality than the Huxlye's because they have a better shape and have a smoother surface.

I have a packed dirt track on my wheel, the ball barely makes it around once. Makes for fast testing..

Exactly why I wanted it instead of typical mk7. Also yes I know about the rattling at the end. Predictions are still fine either before or after it, but it is harder than the smoother drop off. Try predicting an older wheel where the rattling is terrible - thats why i needed a new wheel. Well Herb you really do know what you're talking about - I'll give you that. Makes me think you play for the other team though, and I dont mean being gay.
In other matters, I'm still up for you to test my computer - as far as I know, I was just waiting for your response to my email. And I wanted to have a chat.
