Title: 2 Lotto Questions
Post by: Mr J on May 21, 2010, 07:38:26 PM
I had a disagreement, hopefully I can get some input. I'll use Powerball Lotto for example..... 1:195,249,054 are the odds of winning. Person 'A' buys $2 of Powerball. Person 'B' buys $1 of Powerball. Does person 'A' have a better chance of winning? Feel free to re-word it however you like.

SECOND question....... There are a total of 39 red numbers (Powerball number). Lets say you bought $39 worth of tickets. You buy one of EVERY Powerball, it makes NO DIFFERENCE what the other numbers are that you choose, it does NOT matter.  Your odds of winning I assume then DROP down to the next level. 5 of 5 numbers.....1:5,138,133. You already have the Powerball number regardless of anything else.  Ken

your best chance of winning lotto is take oddd or even numbers every week. some weeks all the winning numbers will be odd or even . putting one or two dollars aw eek  but miracles happen.

Sorry, but playing all odd or all even numbers does not increase your chances of winning the lotto.

The only way is to buy more tickets.

"playing all odd or all even numbers does not increase your chances of winning the lotto" >>> Very true. @kav >> I agree with you but this guy I know (an idiot) thinks it does not matter how many chances you buy. He had me thinking I was wrong. lol  Ken
