One popular strategy is to try and win. :)

double your bets till you win the bet, it's a sure-fire winner.  also always bet on number 26, it hits more than any other number due to it's position on the wheel.

there also may be a couple of other strategies somewhere around this message board, and elsewhere on the Internet, and there may be a couple books out there if you check amazon and libraries.   I think there have been a couple of strategies for roulette, written about somewhere, one or two, maybe here, maybe elsewhere, you have to look.  but the two I gave you above are the best.  good luck.

another good roulette strategy is to place a high value chip on the winning number after the ball has landed.  due to new privacy laws and high unemployment rates, the casino can no longer film you and the dealers will not argue with you because "the customer is always right."  there is a good example how to do this in the movie "The Invention of Lying."  the roulette scene comes after this scene at

Want something simple? Here goes. . .

Wait for any even chance, Red/Black Odd/Even or High/Low to miss five times, then bet 1,1,2,2 *stop* (repeat steps)

try backing a six line. at the one dollar roulette. progression 1.1.1.1.1.2.2.2.3.3.4. and so on. this will teach you how difficult it is to win. good luck.
