Hi all,
Don't get me wrong; I love roulette, but I have a question. Why do we all play roulette when the general consensus seems to be that poker is a far better way to make a profit? Do you all play poker too?
Sam
I think roulettegamers have more common sense.Poker is more exciting and you have more pleasure in beating a human opponent than a dead divice.Give poker more profit? No!!!! The advantage of the roulette is 1,35-2,7 for the European wheel . The casino takes about 10% with poker. There are a few sharks eating a lot of fish.If there were no fish, rabbits or bananas there was no poker !!!
birdhands,
Poker means swimming the with sharks. It`s a tough game. Check your messages for details.

Hi,
To win at Poker you need "Luck"
That's why I don't like this game.

In Holland we have a professor who made a scientific model to compute the ratio between the skill and luck.
For poker the outcome is 60/40.It is possible to increase your skill by study the pokergame. The professional pokerplayer needs a lot of fish, rabbits or bananas.
The most roulettegamers believe only in luck.

Now I'm really confused. Over at a different site, I just read that you should study all the strategies and poker SHOULD be a game you need to play. I dont get it, I thought everybody over at the Wizards site knew it all?

I do not recognize me in this reply.I like fish ,but I do not like to be eaten.I only play roulette and chess.
I find Poker easier than roulette cos I have a certain "edge" in Poker. That edge is ME!
By that I mean I can choose whether to play a certain hand based on many different factors.
I am also playing against human competitors not a random number generator so each have foibles to exploit.
It is often forgotten that the house edge for the roulette is 2,7% single zero wheel. The house edge for poker is about 10%.The difference is all rouletteplayers can lose and one pokerplayer go home with the profit The skill of the pokerplayer is very important. The EV+ pokerplayer looks for the pool with the most fish.

I dont think roulette and poker are much different, its really knowing the game.
i dont know poker and have no interst in playing, i play roulette and win from my system, im sure people have there own system when it comes to poker and some im guessing would always profit over a loss.

Poker rules are FAIRLY straight forward but, hey, you win at roulette then your good to go :ok:
21 is the WORST.
Poker is a game of luck for all except a few very skilled and experienced players. The proof it is a game of skill is that its usually the same faces at the world championships.
Roulette..... Is a full game of luck with the odds slightly against you.
However saying that I have thoroughly analysed 100s of thousands of spins in the last few weeks and have discovered that using certain strategies you can get truly immense lucky streaks.... over thousands of spins..... so much to the point that you may get a life-time of luck winning large amounts of units. So some people out there may think they have a winning strategy and might well make money from it for years and even die of old age up on the house by considerable amounts. But for every one of those people there is many many many more who used the exact same strategy and ended up down on the house from near the start. This has fascinated me.
Peace
Roulette is one of the most simply games. The basic is a fair random number generator.A random sequence must follow the mathematical rules of statistic. The roulette has no mind the player has.The player can study the random sequence. There are predictable features.
On the forum are many members searching for the Holy Grail. It is waisting your time.
From the beginning I have searched for a good combination between strategy and systems.Every idea I have tested on my computer with small samples and very large.
Most people deny the benefit of the roulette.
That is really quite fascinating. And unnerving.
