Is flat betting better or worse than using progressions?

Better flat bet if you have a good bet selection.
But I most admit I do use a middle progression sometimes,stop lose around -120 units.
Using both ways (flat or prog.)you can lose or can win, but you have to establish
your own stop lose and your target.
