Title: The Great Cheesy Challenge
Post by: bombus on April 29, 2011, 11:57:56 PM
Anyone interested in a roulette challenge?

It's the Great Cheesy Challenge inspired by the forum member and father of roulette, Cheese's claims of a 6 unit guaranteed profit over any 40 spins.

Here are some of the rules that I've put in place with the rest of the rules to be formed through discussion.

1) Players have 40 spins to make 6 units profit. After 40 spins any players with less than 6 units profit are eliminated from the next round. Players who achieve 6 units within 40 spins go through to the next round. Once any player achieves 6 units they sit out the remainder of the current round.

2) The contest continues until there is only 1 player left standing (that will be cheese I hope).

Betting Rules:

1)  Bets can only be placed on the table layout 2/1 chances = DOZ/COL bets. They can be placed in any order and any combination.

2) Players can use a progression up to 6 units per selection.

3) Players can bet as often or as little as they please.

Obviously this could take quite a while so I would suggest numbers to be logged twice a day at certain times with the second number coming soon after the first, perhaps 1 hour? That way if you intend to make a bet then you know the numbers are coming, and the number provider will not have to wait for slow players.

I expect many of the rounds will take much less than 40 spins for players to hit 6 units so not all rounds will be so long.

Anyone interested in taking on the cheese phenomenon? It could be fun...

I thought the grand achievement was 5 units in 30 to 40 spins. That's with the first 10 to 20 spins being burned as the start up considerations. Please define the exact rules of engagement? It might take 50 spins with 20 burned for past spin goop. That's right math freaks. All this past spin crap is goop.

I think he said 5-6 units in 30-40 spins with about 15 used for goop.

So I'm going with 6 in 40 and you can use as many as you want for goop. You could even just wait and bet on spin 40.  :)

What would Lady Gaga do? If I could get my computer to do a Bad Romance with the Roulette wheel then I could pop that hip shot with Baghdad Betty in a hot shot of kill me again. If you figure that one out then you know the news of the day. Most likely you missed it, again. They want to kill the lady that posed for Playboy. She's so hot it's like "Oh Yeah." Now the jack asses want her back in the burca and to die too. Let's drop some Vitamin "A" bomb on them assholes. They like killing. Let's give them fundamentalist technology.

Does it have to be just the 2. 1 shots?  Or is the cheeses  strategy so specific?

Bombus I will take any challenge but the rules  are not correct. The 6 unit claim per 40 spins is not clear. The skill of a player depends on the profit percentage of the total bet.Pokerplayers use the term EV. EV+ means he is a winner.
I try a profit of about 2%.What EV has Cheese. 1-2-4 is too less for Martingale on the ECs For the dozens is a betting schedule 1-3-9 normal. It is better to fix the number of starting units to 500.
All participants must have the freedom to make their own game

If I play on a RNG ,I play about 45 minutes with 175 spins per hour and a profit of 100 units!!!
I only play French roulette.

Why only 2/1 chances. What about the players who play the game properly and play the    inside bets like us.
Why are they being excluded.

Unless this challenge is for beginners at roulette. :sarcastic:

Yes it must be the 2/1 chances.

Cheese plays the EC's but could manage the 2/1's and play without his method being reverse engineered.

Hey shoeshine,

The challenge is not about correctness. It's about playing the dozens with a strategy to win 6 units in 40 spins.

Flat betting would be even better but a minimal progression might help the beginners like to graham44 compete. ;D

In my opinion the ideal progression would be 1-2-3, but up to 6 should help many get through a few rounds.

Say's who? His so called winning method on the EC's can't be reverse engineered. It doesn't work. It never did. Don't you guys get it yet? Spike has always been an advocate of the debating process. The truth was never a valid consideration for him. It isn't now. Spike is only in this for the debating process. He has never validated his claims. He's been playing all of you for at least four years.  He thinks he played me in the last few months. He thinks he has played me for the last three years. He has nothing. That's why he claims that I have nothing. He knows he has nothing. He just says he has a winning method. He cares more about the debating process than getting drink tokens and free hot dogs from a comp player's card points. Cheese will never risk a challenge. He can't afford too. All you will ever get from him is his lip service. This is not a straw man or a muddy the waters ploy. It's just a polite nudge. Thought you all might be really interested in the real game going on here.

I'm definitely up for it.  I think I have a strategy that might just work.  But we will see.

I have an off topic question for Cheese/Bombus or whomever. I suck at computer stuff. How do you post a picture?

Is it the same as copy/paste?

Nope, you can find a full URL to an image location on the web and then use the auto tag function to insert an image. It's located just below the Italicized icon just above when you write posts. The icon looks like a painting. The "img" tag is surrounded with end brackets "[" and "]" at the start with "[/" and "]" at the end.
