Title: Whats your call on this?
Post by: Mr J on May 04, 2011, 06:01:38 AM
Here, its a $3,500 max payout on the inside. I played yesterday and this guy almost did this but he backed out and it got me thinking >>> Lets say you have a black chip on the 5 and a black chip on the 4 5 6 street.

The 5 hits, now what? They will not OR should not pay OVER the $3,500 max? The dealer should catch it FIRST and tell the player no-no? The $3,500 is paid out and the other black chip is simply returned? Any thoughts?

Very simple indeed: The bet on the  5 Red is separate  from the  4,5,6 street bet and and both should be paiid Those  2 bets combined did nor exceed the inside table max the time  the bets were  placed.

If both bets  have been accepted there should be no problem.

"If both bets  have been accepted there should be no problem" >>> I agree with that part but the two bets combined DO exceed the max payout on the inside.

The way it works is this. Each bet is considered "per way." So the maximum payout is $3,500 on a $100 per way bet. So you get paid for each qualifying way. You can't combine the courtesy line with a split bet on the zero/double zero bet that exceeds the $100 table limit for inside bets. That's the only way bet that is combinable.
