Title: Moneybookers.
Post by: John Gold on June 20, 2011, 04:49:01 PM
I play quite a bit online and use Moneybookers as an e-wallet.

There is one thing that I have noticed recently regarding the exchange rates. I always like to go to expedian and get a rough idea of what I am getting back because I am converting from euros back to sterling.

Today as an example:

According to expedian.  My 340 euros should be roughly 300 pounds.

However once it hits the Moneybookers wallet, I only get 260 pounds. You are talking nearly 15% difference.

I have heard about inflation, but not that quick  :D

I may try a different e-wallet and see if there is much difference.

Just letting you guys know because you may withdraw some winnings thinking you have made a quick 50 profit or something like that and then it is likely to be swallowed up by the gremlins (read as greedy %**%$$) in the works.

cheers.  :)
