Title: Should the systems for sale section be removed?
Post by: Steve on September 15, 2011, 07:53:40 PM
Should there be a systems for sale section? Consider the following:

* It helps keep junk from the main boards

* It is arguably not good to stifle any talk

* Almost every system seller is scamming anyway

* If we removed the board, then there would be nowhere for sellers to post. So if they try posting on the main boards, they'll be banned immediately. But if we do that, then legitimate opportunities may be missed (as few as there are).

I'm all for giving people a chance, but so far just about every seller has abused it, fallen on their face, just lied etc. There needs to be a balance between promoting free exchange of information. But at this stage it is just being abused.

Please give your opinion.

I think it should NOT be there but IF something is for SALE and in that section, I dont see why anyone would then complain.......it is in the CORRECT section. My view......no sales section.

Voted Yes.

Reason : Almost all system sellers are just out there to scam people.

I voted Yes, on the basis that it could become an arena for people to sell fraudulent software.

Close decision though, because, at the end of the day, it is titled correctly and it's up to individuals to research an software prior to spending their hard earned cash.
