Title: Uni Tables
Post by: bombus on October 05, 2011, 11:09:33 PM
Has anyone tried the new Uni Tables at Star City?

What do you think of them?

I played on one last night and I thought they were great.

They are touch screen interface hooked up to 1 airball machine and 2 live dealer tables. So you can flick between 3 roulette wheels all night long.

If you play a method that needs more time to place bets you switch over to the live wheels, when they go dead and don't spin until new players show up you can switch over to airball and get 2 spins a minute until the live wheels pick up again.

If you can play multiple methods, or if your methods don't need constant number streams then in my opinion these things are ideal.

Cheers.

Bombus - I was at The Star (City) 1 1/2 weeks ago.  I hadn't been for many months & was somewhat lost with the huge revamp.  I just went for a look see & a bit of a flutter (read donation) while I build up my bankroll.

I plan on going again in a couple of weeks or so.  These Uni tables look interesting so can you tell me where they are located in the joint.  Also what are the table limits ? I assume, as they are touch screens,  players have seating?
Are they like a $5 standard roulette tables for both Air Ball & the Live Dealer tables ?

I liked the Rapid Roulette touch screens with $10 min even money bets.  I was disappointed that they flicked them?
The pace of the game was good with around 55 - 60 spins per min.  depending on player numbers.  Being seated made playing more comfortable & enjoyable.  Being jostled by some desperate Asian players at the live chip tables was tiresome.  Most likely you well know all this?

Hope to hear your low down on these Uni's sometime soon  - cheers Hugh.   P.  S.  Did you make a profit last Tuesday?

Hi ausguy.

The uni tables are toward the new food court. They are like the airball machines where you sit at your touch screen. The minimum for single numbers is $2 max $500. The EC's are min $10 max $5000. I think the table limit is $5000 total bets. It's a comfortable way to play alright.

Yes I did manage to win +85 units playing The Cauldron.

@ MiniBaccarat,

I don't play bac but I do go over to that section for a look every now and then... It's a mad house!  :)

Cheers.

Thanks Bombus - I'll check the Uni tables on my next visit.   Good to hear you were 85 + in profit for your last visit.  I've just browsed The Cauldron thread.  Will study it in more detail soon.  I have plenty of spins from Star City roulette over recent years, so plenty of numbers to test for me as well as ones on the thread.  A lot of good work you've done there, much, appreciated.  Also some lively debates, for better or worse.

I was spectating over in the Baccarat section last visit.  It was interesting to see the big chips on some of the tables.   Some with $100 min.  to $50,000 maximum.  Another table had $200 min.  but $75,000 maximum not $100,000 like I expected as being double the $100 table? Perhaps a ploy by the casino to prevent a high roller from doubling up his/her limit bet by switching from a $100 table to the $200 table?

$1,000 & $5,000 chips are out of my league for the foreseeable future.

How do you like the decore of the revamp? For me there's too much blandness.  I'd like to see more colour & less beige.

cheers  Hugh.
