Something very strange has happened to my e-mail. Would someone or several people please send me an e-mail to TwoCatSam@cox.net. If you can, click on my address and send it that way, rather than cut and paste.
When I learn the truth, I will explain.
Sam
Thanks to all. I have plenty of e-mails. Why did I do this?
A person clicked on the link in another thread and sent me an e-mail. I responded to him. When he responded back, the header showed I had sent a cc to another person. I did not send a cc to anyone.
All of the other e-mails did not do this--at least not yet.
So, does someone else have control of my e-mail?
Any ideas how this could happen?
Sam
OK, here's the deal
Over the years, I have placed my e-mail in posts. This creates a hyper-link. When someone clicks on that to send me mail, it also sends it to people who I don't even know. And some I do...you know who you are.
My server says NEVER put in your e-mail as written. Always enclose it in " marks, as "JoeBlow@Gotebo.com" This will not create a link and the sender must cut and paste it into their e-mail system.
To the person who got my e-mails: I have nothing to hide. Every frickin' thing I know and some things I don't are posted on this forum. You want to know; ask me!!
Sam
Well,he's wrong; it does create a hyper-link. I would use JoeBlow at Gotebo.com.
Dang! I used to study roulette!

Your "server" is wrong. That message, as posted, still is a "mailto:" link.
If you want to do it correctly try "Joeblow AT Gotebo DOT com" and that will solve the problem.

Thank you for that information. This whole incident threw quite a scare into me. Identify thieves and all.

'course my life is so boring if someone stole my identity they'd probably pay me to take it back!
