Title: Help uploading an app ! (Mr J methods)
Post by: cheEsteban on August 22, 2012, 06:02:46 PM
Hi everyone. I have not lurked for a while (haven't even been playing roulette in the last year or so), but i decided to give something back to the great community here.

I made a small html5 app that picks bets based on two of Mr J's methods : the street method (bet on only number not hit on a street) and the 18 number method. He has mentioned these before and several posts have talked on how well they work.
So i made this app to track both methods and want to share, preferably in the For Members Download.

I need help though, since i am not able to upload it; i keep getting :
You are not allowed to add a download.

Anyone have any tips?
Also, would appreciate any feedback for improving the app. It has a button for tracking results to facilitate keeping records/sharing results. It should work well on any phone or tablet.... if anyone has ideas to make it more mobile friendly (especially design), let me know.

Hello Che,

You could attach it to your post for review.

Freebie apps are always welcomed  :)

Title: New, shiny and improved version
Post by: cheEsteban on August 23, 2012, 07:20:46 PM
Ok. All bugs have been (hopefully) solved and the looks have been improved.

Wento, sorry but i cant find the post where the 18 ball is mentioned ( does anyone know?). But the version i am posting now fixed this. I had left out the method used. Just click on the title of the method (u will see) and it will appear.

Again, please change the extension of the attached file from .txt to .html
I am very interested to know if it works on phones.....

Ok, i took out the app for a trial run at casinodivitttoriosa.com for 3o minutes. Wish i could spend more time, but just got back from a concert and have to work early later.... btw, the two norwegian bands,  katzenjammer and valkirie allstars rocked!!!

I want to play more with the different variations on the street method... its too early to tell from this brief trial (i bet on all qualifiers in the 12-15 results tracked). the reporting function in the app can help keep record and hopefully motivate ppl to share.
the 18 number track method worked well in such a short run. hopefully next time will have more time to test.

To show you what the reporting function gives u (plus added notes i made besides the titles):

Session / Date: 24-7-2012
Establishment: CasinoDiVittoriosa.com || play for fun @live wheel || unit=.5
Start time: 0:40 / End time: 1:11 >> Total time: 0:30:38 (h:m:s)

#########################

Method: Mr J - Streets (playing all qualifiers) (playing for fun)
Wins: 0 Losses: 47 >> Net units: -47
----------------------------------------

Method: Mr J - 18 numbers (tracking-not betting)
Wins: 3 Losses: 66 >> Net units: 42

#########################

Session hits :
[20,30,33,36,9,26,4,0,7,2,20,4,26,17,3,30,36,16,32,11,29,12]

Ok, here is the last update:
- all bugs were removed
-another variant of Mr J's street was added
-reporting looks alot better
-session summary has new readouts that greatly help analysis

So if you have read this far and tried this last version, you will be pleasently surprised.
Now, i go out to play with it.

For next time, where is the correct place to post these apps and share results?
(yes, i am planning to make more...  anyone have suggestions ? the two's company sounds intriguing - thanks sam... )

Thanks Ken. You're the first one to give me any feedback.... can u be more specific?
- Are u looking at the final version?
- Is it not good in the tracking/bet selection/...?

I didn't even look at it, I was being a smarta**.

What I've done in the past regarding my methods, I quiz the person testing/playing/posting it and usually, they're playing it wrong.

I just dont have the interest to do so anymore, sorry.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I guess anyone would be annoyed.
Besides, if they really want they should put some work into it too, right? No sense having to hold everyones hand when they try something.
... besides, where would the fun be if it was all figured out all ready??  :D

Dont get me wrong sir, I'm not trying to be a jerk. Over the years, I have gone in a different direction with roulette/forums. I would say, 95% of posters dont play like I do and I'm way past the point of holding somebodys hand and leading them along.

No, no, no.... i was not being sarcastic or even ironic. I understand perfectly... i have  had a similar experience in another subject....
Just want to say thanks to everyone else giving pointers and suggestions, so ppl who are starting out like me (again) don't have to start from scratch!

... to make a point: i just discovered an embarrasing mistake in the layout colors(does not affect the mechanics at all)....

the background colours of the numbers on teh table were incorrect, but i understood that they didnt matter and the numbers were the only things being tracked.
