Title: A new question could inot add to the old one!
Post by: lucky_strike on January 11, 2008, 06:27:41 PM
Hi I am wondering  if you know how to caculate the probability for 2 pattens of 8 to come 8 times.

RRR
BBB
RBB
BRR
RRB
BBR
RBR
BRB

Lets take 2 patterns for 8 times LIKE THIS

RRR
BBB
BBB
RRR
RRR
RRR
BBB
RRR

My thought is that the value would be high.

The statistical value regarding the principal of 1/3 is for no show of one pattern:

1: 0,00
2: 0,13
3: 0,36
4: 0,69
5: 1,10
6: 1,59
7: 2,14
8: 2,75

That's means that if 2 patterns came 8 times we would have almost 6 patterns whit a value of 2,75

How would you caculate that!

Thanks.

Thanks Advantage.Player.

Now i can start to experiment and try my idea for the even chances - using the principal of 1/3. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
