Title: Do casinos allow you to chart down roulette numbers while you're playing?
Post by: leumas on August 24, 2008, 02:13:22 AM
In other words, can I bring a pen/note pad and write down every number that hits while I'm sitting there playing?

I know that you can do it in bacarat but not sure about roulette.

Thanks,

Leumas

You talk to Holland Casino here in the Netherlands. No drinks or food for free.

You guys  in Holland  and probably even on the  whole  Euro continent are really shafted by the casinos.

Here  in the USA ,whatever we  get offered ( drinks at no charge just tip)we mentally deduct this  from our eventual losses. To get a  comped free room during midweek after a trip of 275 miles ( 413 km) one  way is just  the " Katz meow ".

Zero fees to enter a casino. The only charge  is the parking fee .This  is mandated by the locality ( Atlantic City) and the money to be  used  for  beautification ( landscaping)  purposes .

Parking rates  may  vary from   zero ( fee then paid by the casino to $ 5.00 if one is  a cardholder of the  casino). Non cardholders  might be  charged  $ 10.00. But upon payment of the fee  one could  request a  one time transfer for parking at another  casino.

@Leumas -- I bring my own 4x6 notebook and TWO pens for writing. Works like a charm.  Ken

I carry in this elaborate metal-clipboard mechanism and magnetic templates and magnets to hold things in place.  Strip magnets are wonderful for this.

There is a German word, (pardon me winkel) and I spell if phonetically: Far-feg-nutin.  Japanese call it Feng Shui.  It's having an orderly and human-friendly way of organizing and doing things.  Your mind can do the important things:  you know your chart will be in the right place as a strong magnet is holding it.

Post it notes and double stick removable tape are indispensable.

Move one small thing and I'm lost and might as well quit.

Ok, I'm a little compulsive-obsessive.......

I prefer online live roulette. Easy betting, no problem with chips and login from your home, no disturbances. And if the dealer could hit a sector of the wheel, he can't see you bet right?

I hear you.  I much prefer home to live.

But we do go out sometimes.

Thanks everybody, I thought so but wasn't sure.

Hey 2Cat, on the new live wheel online casino you found for USA players, is 24 seconds sufficient time to place bets on 11 numbers using a progression system since every bet has a different amount after a loss?

Thks,

Leumas

Pity those who play in that sewer known as AC.

The rest of the American gaming world doesn't pay a tax to park their motor vehicle.

As a matter of fact, the lots, parking garages and valet parking are 100% FREE!!!

You got to be quick.  I have not found them giving 28 seconds; sometimes is less than six.

Organized is good!!

Thanks!

Impossible for me to drag the amount needed to each of the 11 numbers, especially when the progression is into the latter stages.

Hey Leumas,

although I don't use it much yet, you may want to explore the idea of using Macro Express to place bets for you.

Cheers,
Matt

Thanks Matty but what is Macro Express and how does it work?

Hey leumas,

try googling it to get more info.  Basically it's a program that records your keystrokes/mouse clicks then can repeat them at faster speeds whenever you want.  So if you record your bets when the table is slow, you can use the macros to bet for you in the future when the tables are running faster.

I read somewhere that Steve Wynn is terrified of bias wheel players who chart thousands of numbers and that he doesn't all it in his casino. It hasn't been proven to me, but I did read it.

Doesn't what?

Allow wheel watchers?

What I read is that they don't let you track numbers unless you're sitting at the table playing. I can't verify if thats true or not, I haven't been in the Wynn in a year and a half. If you're standing away from the table and tracking the wheels, they ask you to put your notebook away. Apparently.

Any slots near those wheels?

I have heard some stuff but this one goes into the book.

Strange, in all my visits to LV I never visited that place. Closest I've been  was walking across their driveway.

The wheels are not really in a slot area. You should visit Wynn, absolute best buffet in Vegas. Every dish is better than the last. Wonderful seafood, huge crab legs and they are sawed in half so you don't have to dig out the meat. Prime rib melts in your mouth.

Anthony Curtis told me about the same thing.  That and the Rio seafood buffet was outstanding.  Both are expensive.  Not that I don't think spending the money on myself isn't worth it, but aside from spending actual cash at Ellis Island (once per trip) I am so damn spoiled about being comped that the thought of using cash for anything but gambling is abhorrent to me.

I do spend cash to get a pass for the Deuce.  And last trip I had to get a few days of monorail passes with cash as I had to be at the convention center 3 consecutive days.  And I took the shuttle to and from the airport for cash but that was it for an entire week.  Oh, once, two trips ago when the wife came along she didn't want to wait in a long line for the breakfast buffet so we hoofed it to McDonalds for an egg mcmuffin and coffee (on me, of course).

I am so spoiled because of comps.  I am also a very frugal person.  My wife has another word for that but you know how women are.

And before you all say the word "cheap" I'll have you know that for her birthday 3 years ago I bought her a $20,000 car for cash from my gaming acct.  And shortly after that when she lost the diamond from her engagement ring I got her a new one almost double the size. Again from my gaming acct.  That was stupid to do as it really put a crimp in my play plans and I should have used another account but you have to have priorities.  Family always has to come first.

Hi Leumas,

In Bacarrat and Roulette you can write anything you want. In roulette, when I don't sit down, I used to write four tables at the same time, by looking at the 4 scoreboards. If I wanted I could write 6 tables, but a little uncomfortable for me, cause I needed to move around.

So, feel free to do it.

Cheers,
Chico
