Title: Spike's Laughing Heads
Post by: Spike on September 13, 2008, 06:42:03 PM
"Which system do I choose to win with today?" by TwoCatSam  This post was moved from it's original position and put in the pit.  I am putting it back.  Spike wants to have a laugh!  I don't have any problem with that.  It is a rather bold statement!!

To all

This is the best I could do.  I don't know how to put it back into the thread exactly where it came from.

Are we good now??

I have to admit now that I see it, it is funny, Garish, but funny.

Most folks can't find one plan that works and Sam apparently has many.

I also had no idea you could make smileys that big!!

Plans people say work:

Ronjo.....who knows today?  He probably has many.
ray.....proved it on this forum
Gamlet....."Fire" and "Ice"
mr. j..........furtherest back
Addonai..a verison of Gamlet.
Lanky.....hell, two or three or four
Clint....a version of RR and four sectors
Lohnro....the d/s system
hammy....the lurchy/hammy system
Mr. Chips....the 4Selecta
winkel.....the G.U.T.
Victor.......Lw
bobbybobby.....three or four
Me...the Chicco/murph system wich is up over 1200 and may fail tomorrow.
Peter is going to prove the Sniper works.

Matty is working hard on one but hasn't declared it a winner.

I am scared I've forgotten someone.  If so, name yourself and accept my appologies.

AND.....Victor personally knows people who make a living at roulette.  Perhaps they play a system; maybe the Atilla!  Maybe Atilla himself!!

I can not and will not assume all of these people are just blowing in the wind.  I know people believe what they want to believe, but if you don't believe it you can never achieve it!  That little engine did not say....I don't think I can!

So---pardon me every chance you get---but I will maintain a positive attitude and keep on plugging away.

Spike and the naysayers can do a lot of things but---unless I let them---they can never stop me from winning money at the casinos.

Good Day!!

Sam

QuoteSpike and the naysayers can do a lot of things

Well all that I see they do is to post smiles or talk about ridiculus "woodo magical guess work" with no real demonstrations and make ridiculus claims.

You have a lot of that at GG and I do hope we will see less of that here.

Cheers Lucky Strike

You're right, LS.......

I should have said they can "say" a lot of things.  By the word "do" I was referring to verbal rocks and taunts and slurs.  "Stinkers" Andy called them. LOL

Sam,

The funniest thing is that Spike's claims are the most outrageous of all, but he will very conveniently never prove them or reveal his methods. At least those systems you mentioned can be tested and verified.
Title: My psychological flaw....Advice wanted!!
Post by: TwoCatSam on September 15, 2008, 11:30:07 AM
All...

People ask me why I just don't go back and bet on the Lw system if I really feel it works. Or Gamlet.

I have tucked those two systems away in my psyche and hold them there as a form of knowledge that roulette can be beaten.  Frankly, I'm scared of pulling them out and testing them again as I'm afraid it was all just luck.  Then what do I have?  I live in daily fear that all my work---and there have been thousands of hours over the years---will amount to nothing.  Who wants on his tombstone?: HERE LIES A FOOL WHO TRIED TO BEAT ROULETTE

So I bust me arse hunting one more working system--just one more--just one more.  I think I've found it with the Chicco/murph.  Maybe I'll tuck it away and go to playing the Lws again.

We humans develop a belief system and--deep in our hearts--we are scared to death to test it.  Well, at least I am.

This guy walks into the psychiatrist's office ( lets call him TCS for sake of a better name ). TCS says " Doc, can you cure me ? "

Doc answers " Sure, can you give me a bit more to go on ? "

TCS says " OK for starters you track 18 spins .... "

Ok, I thought it was funny

Of all these methods/systems, how many of them have been openly tested with computers, where the source code and methodology of the computer's solutions, has been peer reviewed by experts? How many of these systems have normal expectations where the house's edge actually appears to dominate them in the long run.

I have stood those stated standards without fear that I was diminishing myself in attempting to validate systems and concepts that might or might not actually work in the long run.  It is not my goal to have a gotcha moment or to declare a fallacy here or there. I'm only interested in the truth. I can't apologize for attempting to get at that truth. I can't worry about who's toes are being stepped on. I thought all this testing was to prove something. If I've learned anything. It takes millions of trials to get to that truth.

you are forgeting that roulette is not a computer..
For optimal playing you have to wisely use human brain cells to counter some situations.. Computer doesn't have such thing so it cant be done on computer..
Computer computer computer...
Computer did beat best chess players in the world... but who designed computer?..who programed it?...
Once human takes a millions of spins and programs computer for every situation it is still not sure that in next ten millions of spins nothing new will happen..
These guys can beat roulette, day after day but someday they can lose, but their wise decission will be key of success..how would computer react in such situation? .. Computer will continue to play "session from hell"

Hey Giz,
I have always appriciated your input.  And, as always (to me atleast) you make a good point.  I am more than willing to have my "system" tested by a computer... once I've finished tweaking it.  Actually I look forward to it, because no matter the results, I'll still play it.  If the results are good - all the more confidence in the system.  If the results are bad, oh well - maybe I'm just lucky then.  That's one thing that a computer can't account for... luck.  Just last month I was playing at a live casino and there were 8 blacks in a row on the marquee.  So some guy comes along and starts betting Red... over and over again... (you know where this is going...).  another 10 blacks come and the guy is outta money.  Once he's done betting I plop down some chips on red and bang, Red.  Maybe it's me?  I'll take luck any day.

Did that make any sense??  Or was I just pulling a Sam and blabbing to myself??  LOL

I believe that to answer you with an acceptable credibility the answer would need to be peer reviewed. Perhaps your question too.

The best anyone can do is to seek the truth. If any of you have taken the house's edge away and have achieved a long term advantage over the game of Roulette then professors at MIT would want to know about it. That would be significantly interesting. To test it properly requires more than a small sampling of real spins from Germany. We are talking about changing the fundamental understandings of probability. The only significance that I can find is situational awareness and selective optimization. There is no fixed rule based method that will probably pass the house's advantage test. If any of you have done it then call CNN, NBC, Caltech, MIT, Harvard Business school, etc... because you have real news.

Sam is not blabbing to himself and my comments are not meant to demean anyone. Your point makes perfect sense. Luck is sometimes the result of using common sense. I would have to say that common sense is a form of situational awareness and selective choice making.

These kinds of simulations of situational awareness and smart selections, smart systems, are very difficult to code. If any mistakes are made then you have to go back and forth until experts accept the results. It's a long drawn out process and requires asbestos clothing with all the disagreements that always ensue.

I've found out what works for me. It's quite different than all these techniques that are claimed to be winners here. I won't even program what I'm doing. After my last round with trying to avoid the zeros I'm not going to volunteer to program anything.

I can't be cured!  Thanks for the kind words.

Matty

I feel better having said what I said.  The poet Wilke said, "Our fears are like dragons guarding our most precious treasures."  My treasure is the fact I won; my fear/dragon guards it.  Keeps me from going back and playing!

Mark

I always respect your opinion.  I welcome you or anyone else to show me where I'm wrong.  All you will do is save me from betting my money foolishly.  How can that be bad?

Still I raise the question......First, let me say I believe Lanky.  Lanky says he took a sum, I forget how much, and using his methods at Star City Casino he quadrupled that bankroll.  Did he hit four lucky bets?  No, he bet single units for the most part.  His posts stated, up 58, up 40 and so on.  Not..bet a thou on red and won a a thou!

This bloke may be lucky, but give me a break.  No lucky streak can last through thousands of spins.  Then he taught me what he was doing and I repeated his results.  I actually went beyond four to about five or six times my starting bankroll.  Then I lost my mind.

I must leave this banter.  I will continue to study.  Anyone who wants to look over my shoulder, they are welcome.

Sam

Yup. I consider what you said to be demeaning to folks who have spent YEARS developing methods that beat the casino on a regular basis. The casino isn't an ATM, you can't just waltz in and make a withdrawal anytime you please. If thats what you think, and obviously you do, you have never done it on a regular basis. What a big surprise you have waiting if you ever get to that point.

I'm not making book on you ever getting that far, so its a moot point..  [smiley=3D-gros-fix/36_2_1.gif] [smiley=3D-gros-anim/36_2_15.gif] [smiley=3D-gros-anim/36_2_33.gif]

Nothing convienient about it, its totally on purpose. How many people here have a revealed a method that consistantly beats the casino?
